It looks like the highs will be around 72 for my family's trip next week. Yuck! Is that too cold for swimming in Stormalong Bay and what time does it usually reach the high temp in Orlando? Should wear sweatshirts or just jackets? Too cold for shorts? :rotfl2:

I don't know where you are coming from but 72 is nice. Usually around noon or so it reaches the high temp.

If you are from a cold climate 72 will seem very warm. Jackets should be fine.

To check local weather here in Orlando www.wftv.com They are usually pretty accurate.

72 is hot for us.but we are from the south. We were at Disney first week of Feb.and the first day was in the 40-50"s.and i froze to death all day long.My husband said"i thought we were in Florida".We wore our jackets and pants in the morning and rented a locker to put them in when it warmed up.Or u could go back to room and change.

Our friends just came back from Disney and they had an awesome time. They went the last week in January and the weather was the same as what you describe. They stayed at the CBR and said that they swam every day. The pool was nice and heated to around 85 degrees. A little cool to get in an out of but really nice. One night they said that the pool actually had steam coming off of it.

Don't worrry, you'll be swimming and it will be great. :)

We had 72-74 weather xmas week. The only thing was that it was very cloudy in the afternoon so I would be cold when I got out of the pool, but it didn't stop my kids from swimming every afternoon. I enjoyed just sitting by the pool reading, very relaxing. If it's sunny then low 70's will feel warm enough to get wet. :sunny:

Why is there a laughing guy on your post? :confused3

I live in GA and 72 is practically perfect. It's not too hot, but not cold enough for jackets. The hotest part of the day is usually around 4 pm, but you can expect warm weather starting before lunchtime.

I would bring shorts and tee-shirts, but also some jeans and long sleeves for the evening. I usually layer my clothing b/c the mornings and evenings are cool, but the days warm.

72 is not warm enough for me to swim, but I don't know where you are from. I'd bring a swimsuit anyway since the pools are heated.

Another GA person here, 72 is just about perfect in my book as long as there is no wind! Grumpymom, we were also there that first week of Feb, :cold: brrrrrrrrrrr! Hey vettechick, are you by any chance a corvette owner? reason I ask is I have '68 that we bought from a dealer in ATL, wondered if you were by any chance affiliated with the Corvette club up there.

I was a Corvette owner. I had a 1999 Light Pewter Coupe for a couple years before I traded "up" - up as in bigger! I got a Tahoe. The Corvette isn't a smart choice as your main vehicle, but hey, it's fun to drive! :cool1:

I was never a member of any club, but it sounds fun! Are you a member?

We check in March 11th and the forecasts are for mid-70's. I sure won't swim (I am an old bag of 40 and like it to be 90 degrees before I get wet!) but I know the kids won't care. The pools are heated and the parks will be heavenly without the heat. It's snowy and 30 degrees here so 74 is sounding mighty fine!

We'll be back in the last days of July and it will be so hot I will WISH it was 70! :sunny:

It was too funny the first of this month. Imagine Stormalong bay with a heavy layer of fog/mist over it because the water temp was so much warmer than the ambient temp! :earseek:

We were cold in December, but the kids lived in the hot tubs! They swam around in them just fine. And since we were the only loonies at Stormalong Bay, they could splish and splash without worries! It was so cool to be in the hot water and the air so cool and crisp. Great end to our Disney day!

Glad to know I'm not alone!!
