Same here in South Jersey. The only reply you may get is "We have Pepsi is that ok?"
And that is not only legit, but a good alternative. I used to drink gallons of Pepsi during the day and almost never had a Coke unless there was no other option. Then all of a sudden I decided that all that sugar was not the best way to live without adding to the long list of medical crap that happens just by getting old. I found Iced Tea (unsweet) that is 99.99999% water and switched to that in my 40's and have stuck with it since then. It saves a lot of anguish trying to decide what I want to drink or having to settle for Coke, It's automatically unsweet Iced Tea.

Whenever I went south for a vacation I always remembered to ask for unsweet otherwise they would just assume that I wanted "sweet tea". It still happens. Up north during that same time if you asked for Iced Tea it was unsweetened and there wasn't a choice. If I remember right, it was McDonalds that first offered, as a general item, sweet tea and now the same thing applies, in reverse. Sweet tea is there as a choice not an automatic assumption.
