And that is not only legit, but a good alternative. I used to drink gallons of Pepsi during the day and almost never had a Coke unless there was no other option. Then all of a sudden I decided that all that sugar was not the best way to live without adding to the long list of medical crap that happens just by getting old. I found Iced Tea (unsweet) that is 99.99999% water and switched to that in my 40's and have stuck with it since then. It saves a lot of anguish trying to decide what I want to drink or having to settle for Coke, It's automatically unsweet Iced Tea.Same here in South Jersey. The only reply you may get is "We have Pepsi is that ok?"
Whenever I went south for a vacation I always remembered to ask for unsweet otherwise they would just assume that I wanted "sweet tea". It still happens. Up north during that same time if you asked for Iced Tea it was unsweetened and there wasn't a choice. If I remember right, it was McDonalds that first offered, as a general item, sweet tea and now the same thing applies, in reverse. Sweet tea is there as a choice not an automatic assumption.
