So we leave before business hours Tuesday and I was going to get change rolls at the bank for pressed pennies. MLK day. Bank Holiday. Parenting Fail. :)
Is there anywhere on site (no car) that I can obtain pennies. I am presuming that I can get quarters from a laundry center. ANy other ideas would be great.

Thanks for any help!

I'm sure it depends on how many but I would try a store. Worst that can happen is they say no

I have gotten a roll of coins at a store before too. I'd go somewhere at home and see if they'll do it.

It is a lesson that you should be prepared and plan things out before leaving. You have a budget so you wont experience that problem. You can try it in stores hoping that they won't say no.

First off - not a fail. If that's the only thing that you didn't get done ahead of time then you are all good.

Pennies will be the harder to acquire. I would ask at checkin about buying quarters and then go to the gift shop. Explain that you need 10 or 15 pennies to get started. Odds are not only with they let you trade for the pennies but the CM will give you shiny ones. Then as you receive change for drinks and what not, ask for a dime in pennies and you will be fine.

If you strike out at checkin on the quarters, I am pretty certain when we were there last year, the arcade in the parks (specifically the one in Tomorrowland) changes dollars to quarters.

Bring some from home. You must have some in your car, at the bottom of your purse, in your junk drawer or a piggy bank. Just pick thru and find some shiny ones, then when you buy things in the airport or at the park, ask the cashier for a nickel or dime worth of pennies.

If you have some darker pennies, sort through and find all the ones before 1976, soak then in baking soda for a few hours, then rub then with Ketchup, yes that's what I said, then rinse and let dry, and they will look brand new, we just did that on our trip and the pressed ones came out fantastic, also the gift shops will give you pennies, we had to get 25 more and they had no problems doing it at all.
