My coffee maker bit the big one this morning. What do you all recommend?

I don't drink coffee but DH does. I bought him a Cuisinart at Bed Bath & Beyond. There is no pot to it you just put your mug under to fill it up. He loves it.

I've bought cheap from Wal-Mart, and I've bought $80-100 makers from upscale stores, and have had problems with them all sooner or later. To be honest, I am back to the cheap Mr. Coffee from Wally World.

I got an espresso pot for Christmas a couple of years ago, so I can make more personalized coffee when the urge is on. Otherwise I just use the basic. I may try another press-n-pour model next time, though. My DD's enjoyed pouring my coffee, but they are too small to handle the carafe.

I LOVE my Keurig coffee maker. It's the one that uses the little "K-cups" which are available in lots of flavors. It brews 1 cup at a time, so every cup is fresh. No filters, no cleaning out the pot.
The coffee is more expensive than buying a can at the grocery store, but cheaper than stopping for a coffee out somewhere everyday.

Another Keurig user. For over 20 years I used a farberware percolator and refused to give in to the drip pots. Keurig is the next best thing. I love a fresh cup every time!

I like Gloria Jeans K-Cups and Green Mountain. My kids love the hot chocolates!:thumbsup2

I use whatever one I can find for $10. I always have a backup coffeemaker on hand for when my current one bites the dust. I find the cheap ones make great coffee and last just as long as the expensive ones.

Me too!! I am going to buy the little one for my trip to disney!

Timely thread! I lost my coffee pot about a week ago. I am the only one who uses it, so instead of buying a new one I have just been looking around and making instant...blech. I have since reduced my caffiene intake so maybe it was meant to be!

I have the worst luck with coffee pots. I don't know why. I have bought the expensive and the cheap and still they poop out at the worst times. The longest coffee pot I ever had was one I bought at the dollar store, Black and Decker for 12 bucks. That thing last 4 yrs. I have had under the cabinet, on the cabinet and ones that go straight to the garbage in a month. I don't think there is science to it!

I have been looking at the ones that are a cup at a time. I think this is what I may purchase next.

Go with the keurig if you want one cup at a time. I love the convenience, and I love having a flavored coffee in the afternoon when DH wants regular.

Bunn!!! 3 minutes for a pot. They last forever and make awesome coffee.

DH is the only one in our house that drinks coffee. I just replaced his old Hamilton Beach pot with a new one. It is the kind that doesn't have a caraffe and dispenses directly into the cup. He likes it.

Mr. Coffee, which we got from the grocery store for free ages and ages ago. :)

I have a Bunn My Cafe Pod brewer and I absolutely love it. It makes one cup at a time and uses the individual coffee pods which you can find in a variety of flavors.

A Bunn Thermo Fresh-all the restaurants use these;it keeps your water hoot and ready at all times! It was around $200 from Home depot-they had the best prices @ the time and I have had it for 4 years. I am SERIOUS about my coffee!

I love my Bunn coffee maker. By the time I get my cup ready it's done brewing. Have tried many but I will never go back to another. :)

I don't have the Bunn but I have the Senseo got it for 15 thru the website. shareasenseo.com or something like that. I have been thinking about a Keurig.
