Okay, coffee is very important to me. I love the Budget resorts, but the one thing really unacceptable there is the coffee! But now... IMG_3422.jpg I'm so excited! I purchased the cutest little coffee maker. Weighs about a feather, is less than eight inches tall, so very easy to pack, and most importantly, it makes really hot, really good, really strong coffee!! It's coming with me next month to ASMu. Gone are the days of sour tasting coffee in my refillable mug!

That's perfect! Thinking about buying the mini Keurig Target has a great price and I can put it in my Owners Locker.

Cheers to good coffee!

That is sweet. Is it a little drip brew coffee maker? My friends felt the same way you do about resort coffee so they rent a Keurig when they go.

This is SO much better than the Keurig for travel!! I own several mini-Keurigs and I love them. I have one at home, one at my boyfriend's, and one at my Mom's...and I've traveled with one on road trips, but this one is much better for air TRAVEL!! And the coffee is, I'm not kidding, JUST AS GOOD as Keurig!!! This little guy weighs almost nothing, takes up almost no space in the suitcase, and well, it's just my new favorite thing! (nope, no kickbacks from the company LOL) I'm going to bring it on a short road trip next week as well because I don't like using hotel room coffee makers and I won't have to drag the heavy (yes, even the mini is heavy) Keurig!

Yes, it's a tiny drip coffee maker. You can use ground coffee, OR pods. I found some excellent pods on Amazon (Wolfgang Puck coffee), and you just pop it in, turn it on, and in 2 minutes (a tad bit slower than Keurig) you have HOT, delicious coffee from your own lightweight sanitary coffee machine. Woo hoo!!

This thing costs about 1/10 of the price of the mini-Keurig, and as I said, it's tiny and light and still makes amazing coffee! IMO it's the perfect non-home coffee maker, and truthfully, it could serve easily as a home machine too. it's just ridiculously small and easy and makes great coffee. Can you tell how in awe I am of this little machine? LOL... You can't tell from the photo I guess, but it's MUCH smaller and lighter than the mini-Keurig!

It's all Joffrey's at the food courts (no coffeemakers at the normal Value resorts/rooms), which is actually a pretty decent company. Maybe the last time you had it was when it was still Nescafe?

I used almost the same one (mine is Black & Decker) at Pop last month. I have to have my coffee first thing in the morning! I made good ground espresso coffee in it daily.

It cost about $15, so much cheaper than a Keurig. Also takes #1 size cone filters (Amazon for both). It fit easily in my luggage.

The value resorts do not have coffee makers in them at all.

Instead of washing a mug, I sent a couple of Amazon Prime Pantry boxes ahead of time, and put some disposable coffee cups in one (also got the ground coffee and a bunch of other things like bottled water, other drinks, toiletries, snacks, etc).

It makes a cup of coffee very quickly!

No, I've had the Joffrey coffee, but for a coffee snob like me, it's far from good enough. So having this really lightweight thing that makes GOOD fresh coffee just for me... well... no more dawn forays to the food court for me! :)

Great idea! Since I'm the only one drinking coffee (my SO doesn't drink it), I usually pack a mug, or buy a new souvenir mug (I usually end up doing both!), and here's a tip I picked up on the boards a few years back that's worked great for me: I get a regular sponge wet and saturated with dish washing liquid, then just set it out to dry at home. Then on the day I'm packing I cut it up into little pieces (one sponge into 8 little squares for a week long trip), and pack those mini-sponges in a zip-loc bag. Then at the resort, each day I just use one tiny sponge with its ready-made soapiness to wash my mug and toss the sponge and I'm all set. I can't remember who posted this tip or I would give them credit - it's been a great one for me all these years! I've used the little sponge squares to wash our refillable mugs for years. One little square will wash all the mugs for the family!

Not a big fan of the room coffee machine.

Some are not so clean. I spend a lot of time trying to sanitize the coffee maker in the hotel room. However, some are tie wrapped to a table and can't be moved for cleaning.

Sometimes get lucky and get a room with the Keurig maker with a sampling of coffee blends.

Actually I don't trust in-room Keurigs anymore since reading about how they are usually full of mold inside. It's doubtful that most of them are properly cleaned with vinegar on a regular basis, so they are all full of dangerous mold - even if you can't smell or taste it.

What brand is that? I have a small one, but it's sort of heavy and takes up a lot of room so I'm probably not going to bring it. I'm staying at POP.

Oh no! Well, I have just run out of options since I do not want to carry my own coffee maker.

I know exactly how you feel! That's why this one is so amazing. It' much lighter and smaller than it appears in the photo. It's only 8 inches long and weights less than a feather! You might change your mind and want to tuck this into your suitcase...

To each to his own I say. The coffee at Disney is good for us that we don't need to pack a coffeemaker to get our fix. Best coffee I've had down there was at Yachtsman. Can't tell you why though.

I agree that the coffee is good enough for me, if there's a coffee maker in the room. I like to have a cup or two before getting showered and dressed, so like to have it in my jammies. Value resorts don't have them, though.

Staying at Pop next month, first time at a value, and my morning java was my only serious concern. I have a cup in bed before I start virtually every day - going without is not something I like to contemplate for very long. Thanks, OP, for your recommendation! Just ordered one from amazon, plus "make your own pods" filters. I'll test everything at home first. I travel a fair amount for business, and if the lightness/portability work well for me, this will probably go into my regular "business travel" rotation.
