coffee pot in studio

We'll be taking our first trip home in two weeks to AKV and staying in a studio. I know there is a little coffee pot but not sure what size filters they use so i can bring some and some coffee cause Disney coffee is the pits! Anyone happen to know the size and/or shape (cone vs basket)? Thanks in advance since I am sure my trusty dvc-ers will know this easily.

We just came back from a studio at SSR. I'm assuming the pots are the same. It is a flat basket and not deep at all. They give you flat pouches containing coffee which I agree is awful. Although I am convinced it is not so much the coffee as it is the water. You could bring your own filters and loose coffee. Unless you use filtered water, not sure that is worth it.

When we stayed in DVC units, we had 12 cup coffee makers with the basket filter.

Most of the Studios I have stayed in in recent years have a regular 12 cup Coffee Maker. They seem to replace broken machines with the 12 cup rather than the smaller ones that you would expect in a studio. I've never stayed at AKV yet so I can't say which size machines they use there. I would advise going with a larger size over a smaller one.

The water is definitely partly to blame - I bring my own starbucks and it still tastes bad - unless I use bottled water then it's fine. I can hardly wait to get owners locker so i can have a pur water pitcher for coffee next time!

I agree. I'm pretty sure our pot was a 12 cup. They used to be small, but I they must be replacing all of them with the large pots. Still pretty awful coffee, though.
