I can barely keep myself straight half the time. With all the pollen on the trees, allergies are making me even worse. The news said this is the worst allergy season Virginia has had in 10 years. I've looked like a zombie at work. I can't wait to go on vacation.... hard to believe it's only about 2 weeks away!!

OMGosh I have had the worst week ever (for my family; I know I shouldn't complain due to other people have alot worse situations; and mine, well... is just me basically venting for no good reason.)
Let see I had to deal with me getting over the flu and an never ending bad cold, then we ripped apart our bathroom to remodel which is so far costing us about $5,000. No we are not done with buying stuff either, then our power has been going on and off for the past week. The power company couldn't find the problem till now. Then my 9 year old daughter missed 2 days of school due to the flu and then my 7 year old came down with it on Wednesday and Thursday Now the baby has had it since Monday and it's now Friday and she is still getting sick. Mind you it's not alot. She is keeping some stuff down. Other than pedialyte there isn't much you can give a 7 month old baby. The ped's doctor just said keep her drinking for we can avoid her getting IV in the hospital. From what the doctors tell me there are a ton of babies in the hospital right now; and truthfully I DON'T want to make My princess Kendyll their next paitent.
Anyhoo...I basically wanted to come out and tell everyone sorry for the delay on posting. The next thing is Stephanie darlin' you are the best can't wait for my present. Nobody better touch it!
Well time for me to run for a bit....need to get back to reality in this household right now. I'll talk to you all later tonight or tomorrow. Bye everyone

lannah - sorry you're having a bad week!!!!! maybe you're getting all your bad luck in one week and the rest of the year will be awesome. one of my best friends had to take their one-year-old to the hospital on tuesday night because he had a viral infection and was getting dehydrated. they made him spend the night one night just to get some IV fluids into him. she said it was so sad to sit there and look at your little one with all these tubes going in and so helpless. i hope your little one feels better soon!

Oh Lannah- So sorry to hear about the week! My 5 year old daughter was in intensive care when she was 9 months old. She had RSV and was in the hospital for over a week. I also swore I'd never complain about anything again. However... those weeks when everything piles on top of each other sucks in its own way. You're tired, everyone is depending on you, and you feel like you shouldn't complain because there is no one major thing you can say- you think people will think you're whining. Those are the weeks when you need to vent and get it all out.

So- hang in there! I believe in karma: what goes around comes around. You've done so much helping out strangers on this thread with nothing in return. Good things will come to you as soon as you get past cold and allergy season

Lannah...sorry to hear abt your kiddos My 8 mth old has been cutting teeth...horrible cough and runny nose....its so hard to sleep when you hear them cough...even for a second!! Hope they will be all doing better soon!

On a coffee note.......Im in the SW suburbs of Chicago...and OUR Starbucks just opened this week!!! It was very exciting to go throught the Drive thru for the first time.....so I did it again....and again.....lol

Yes it is to bad I couldnt do the swap but thanks for all the flames. I so enjoyed canceling all my plans because I was in the hospital with congestive heart failer. My husband tried his best to do it all and failed to contact my email box for all the messages about the swap. Please know that we had a cruise also booked the following week and had to cancel that do to my sickness. At my hospital they dont allow you to get on line while in intensive care to address your email issues. I am not mad at the people who had somrthing to say about me...... Special thanks to all the people who had nothing to say about me may both parties get all the things that were wished on me tenfold. Oh and by the way still cant fly or vacation but perhaps someday..... I am just glad to be among the living.

I had to write to tell you how sorry I am!!! Must have been awful for
you and your husband...Are you doing better now? Is there anything
you can do about your trips? I can't imagine how horrible it must be
to be so excited about your trip and then have this happen...Hopefully
they will let you re-schedule and you can rest and relax and get your
strength back.. I am sure that the main thing is that you are here and
getting better.
Please don't be upset about "flames"....I don't think that anyone here
meant anything bad...and considering the circumstances, I don't think
anyone would ever mean to wish you anything but a speedy recovery!

i have to admit that i was frustrated when i heard that someone didn't show up to get the coffee maker. most of the time when things like this happen it's because someone was being irresponsible or careless. however, i don't think i ever "flamed" you myself and i want to apologize if i did. i believe that at the bottom of the one post i made about this whole situation i did say something about i hoped nothing bad had happened to the person who didn't show. anyway, it's all beside the point now. i hope you're doing better and i'm truly sorry about what happened to you. my dad had open heart surgery last year so i know how scary heart problems can be. i hope you're doing better. and i hope you can somehow make up your trip soon.

Can anyone tell me how many coffee scopes you used. I haven't used a 4 cup coffee pot before...my pot at home is much larger. I was planning on buying the Maxwell House coffee\filter packets. I thought this would be easier to pack and they are pre-measured...any help will be greatly appreciated.
Just a tip: we have bought disposible coffe cups\with lids(Dixie Grab'N Go 12 oz.) from Walmart(think they were about $3) for 14. That way we can savor that last cup all the way to the park and just throw it away.
