Can someone please tell me what kind of filters the coffee makers take at the resorts? We will be at POFQ the 25th :goodvibes and I want to send my package off tomorrow.
Thanks

I recall they are the small (4 cup?) coffee makers they have in the rooms. They'll make just enough coffee to get you out the door and down to the food court ;) ... or better yet... down to Dunkin Donuts

Twinklebug's right, they are the 4 cup basket-type filters.

I thought I understood that the coffee was also provided, like the pots. Is that right?

I'm not certain the filters are of any benefit. Water at Disney comes directly from the 7 Seas Lagoon, and the thought of it's destructive powers upon coffee bring tears to my eyes. Of course I'm joking about the water, but it truly does taste terrible.

Seriously, bring your own machine and water. NOT kidding. They apparently do not filter any of the water and it's simply not drinkable out of the tap. We always bring our own and can always rely on a good cup of java to start our day.

Have fun otherwise!

I never thought of taking water for the coffee maker just bottles for drinking. I will take your advice I do love my coffee :teeth:
Thanks for the answers.

When we get there we clean the coffee maker first before using it. Long soak in the sink for the filter basket.

We then use bottled water in the maker, as well as our own filters and coffee.

I seem to remember that last time we were there, they had coffee inside filter pouces, not seperate coffee and filters. Can't remember for sure as we knew we didn't want their coffee.

the pots come with the "pre-packaged" regular and decaf coffee in a filter, ready to be dropped into the basket. DH's only complaint was that it was weak, so i only put in 3 cups of water (yes, from the sink...hey, my day is gonna come some day and I doubt 2 cups from the sink at WDW is gonna end it any sooner! lol)

The coffee is the prepackaged kind and I found it to be pretty awful. I bring my own now and if I have room I bring my own 10-cup pot too. I really haven't noticed the water making it taste too bad; it does taste different than at home but not bad. I never thought of putting bottled water through it but I think that I will try that next time just to see how big of a difference it makes.
