Coffee at Capt Cooks?

My DH is a coffee fanatic, I plan on brining coffee to make in the room but will be eatting breakfast at Capt Cooks several times and will be getting the refillable mugs and I know DH will get MORE coffee there each morning how is that coffee?

I know there is Kona coffee upstairs that Im sure we will get atleast once but since we will have the mugs I am hoping to save the $ and just get that coffee, so Im hoping its not so bad..Its not insant nescafe stuff is it?

It's Nescafe, but it's not instant. It's brewed, I guess. I'm not gonna lie...it's not great. It's weak coffee without any real flavor. I only got it one morning. We had breakfasts planned for the other days, so I just waited and drank coffee with breakfast. I think that was Nescafe, too, but at least it had a little more flavor.

I did not try the coffee at the Kona Cafe bar upstairs, but I hear it's better than Capt Cook's. Not included on the refillable mugs, though.

If your dh wants some good coffee, there's also a coffee bar upstairs next to Kona where you can purchase coffee a la carte. Won't work with the refillable mug, but it won't be that Nescafe stuff either.

You can buy a bag of coffee upstairs to take to your room and make it there. I believe it cost something like 15.00. Me I am bring coffee from home as I will not drink that Nescafe stuff. Worst I ever tasted in my life.

Are you determined to purchase mugs? You may save money forgoing the souvenir and drinking Kona coffee exclusively. There is a bar right next to the restaurant. Your husband will likely be disappointed by the stuff at Captain Cook's. It is the infamous, standard Disney coffee.

I agree with the general consent - it's pretty bad. We only bought from the Kona bar after day 1. It is the same all over - terrible coffee.

I would just go to the 2nd floor of the Great Ceremonial House and purchase the Kona Coffee from the Kona Island.
