Hello, I'm new to this board and I'm looking at taking a trip to WDW on 12/16/08 - 12/22/08 and we are looking at staying at the Beach Club Villas. Do they have codes available for this property for the 1-2 bedroom villas. I just can't see myself paying $435 a night.

We love staying on the disney property and couldn't see ourself staying offsite.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Codes are always a luck of the draw. You can keep your eye open here and see what others offer too.
I also suggest you post on the DVC board, and maybe even check out renting DVC points.
Good luck! :wizard:

Yes they do offer codes for villa properties.AAA also offers discounts at villa properties. However, BCV are very popular. So getting to use a code or find a discount is kind of hit or miss.

has anyone here rented dvc points
what was your experience like?
was it worth it? :upsidedow

I rented points in 2006 and it was a great experience. I was going to rent points again this time but the person I rented from had no points left and in the interim, I booked AKL club level as a backup and now I don't really want to give that up! I know DVC has AKL concierge, but I don't think there's availability for me to book it at this late time. I would just try to find someone who has at least one reference here. Usually most people pay 1/2 upon booking and then half 45 or so days before. That's how we did it. You'll have to tell the person if you need Magical Express, Dining Plan, etc. because only the member can call in to make reservations, changes, etc. That bit of it is a small hassle, but totally worth it imo, because we saved a lot of money for a beautiful 2 br unit.

Renting DVC points is absolutely the way to go. I've done it twice with no problems at all. Rent from this board, under the DVC section.

For the OP, December and Beach Club can be tough to get, at least I know it is for DVC members. I'd call first - just to see if there is availability. If not, I'd try maybe OKW, there may be availablity there or SSR.

good luck!

I think you should call and see if there is availablity for your stay right away. I made my ressie back in Jan for Dec. BCV is a small resort. In the past, there have been AP rates but it has only been $5 less than AAA. The AAA rate is 20% off a night. When you call check to see if they have anything with the AAA rate. If it's gone chances are you won't see any discounts for the BCV unless it's a studio. In 2005, I tried to make my ressie in March and was shut out of the hotel now I make them earlier. Dec. is busy at the BCV.:)

I agree.I made my AAA ressie on a 1bdr villa at BCV in Jan 2008 for a trip in Sept 2008.
