CODES ARE OUT THRU 6/3! CALL NOW - they are out!!

That $35 off moderates just doesn't make sense. Here's the most recent offers are below. The lowest off Deluxe is $70 and and the lowest off moderates is $40. Wouldn't you think the moderate discount would me higher in regular season than in value season. Especially given the $100 off deluxe wouldn't you expect the moderate discount to be in the $60 range? I'll be happy when the wait is over!

Passholder discounts are currently available for check-ins through 4/13/06.

(value season)Travel dates: 1/10/06-1/15/06 and 2/5/06-2/15/06. Discounts are $20 off Value resorts, $40 off Moderate resorts and $70 off Deluxe resorts.

(value season)Travel dates: 1/16/06-2/4/06. Discounts are $30 off Value resorts, $60 off Moderate resorts and $96 off Deluxe resorts.

(peak season)Travel dates: 2/16/06-4/13/06. Discounts are $35 off Value resorts, $66 off Moderate resorts and $133 off Deluxe resorts.

Here are the rates from last year for this same time period:

REGULAR SEASON
Annual Passholder April-July 2005 Room-Only Discount Code
WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code EWY and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 4/17/05-7/4/05. The code gives you a flat discount off the rack rates: $25 off Value resorts, $40 off Moderate resorts and $100 off Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts. Some sample rates:
 Value Resorts (All Stars and Pop Century) - $74 standard
 Moderate Resorts - $109 standard;
 Wilderness Lodge - $139 standard, $224 studio, $165 woods view, $200 courtyard
 Animal Kingdom Lodge - $139 standard, $219 Savannah,
 Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club - $234 standard
 Contemporary - $174 garden wing, $280 tower
 Polynesian - $254 garden view, $385 lagoon view, $396 Con. GV, $533 Con. LV
 Grand Floridian - $294 garden view

The only difference I was possibly hoping for was that last year was the start of the 50th celebration in May and I'm sure the May attendence last year was way up from any normal May. I was hoping that maybe the attendence would be closer to normal this year and that the discounts may be a little better. I was hoping for maybe $69 on the value side or maybe the discounts given for July/August last year which were:

Annual Passholder code rates for 7/5/05 to 8/27/05:
Value Resorts (All Stars and Pop Century) - $74 standard
Moderate Resorts - $99 standard
Wilderness Lodge - $124 standard, $180 courtyard
Animal Kingdom Lodge - $124 standard, $205 savannah
Contemporary Resort - $169 standard, $270 tower
Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club - $219 standard, $360 concierge
Polynesian - $229 garden view, $325 lagoon view
Grand Floridian - $274 garden view

I couldn't resist. I called again and tried to make a new ressie b/c it seems that those that got the codes were making new ressies. I gave my info b/c I had too but didn't let on that I had a ressie already.

So I got Garnet (are those their real names?) and she was ohhh so kind. I think they are nicer to new ressies then those of us that keep calling. Kinda makes me feel guilty. But anyways, no codes but in her words -

"I can't promise, but I wouldn't be surprised if something came out this week" She said this several times. She also said that new discounts and deals come out from the marketing dept. when the season changes. They just shifted into peak season. Hence-new codes.

She asked if I was on some online boards-sounded as though I had. And that if I saw something for my time of travel...well that there isn't anything now..but sometimes something pops up and the person gets it. Basically, she said in a round about way that some discounts were given but I got the feeling they were given prematurely.

Anyways-some advice needed here. We have standard at CSR for a AAA rate. It looks like the AP rate for the mod won't make it worth the AP for us. If the Deluxe really is $100 off, we would get standard AKL which is still available as of this morning.

So should I cancel my CSR and switch to AKL now or wait for the code first. My fear is that I won't be able to get standard AKL once the code comes out. But if I cancel CSR now, I know I won't be able to get it back b/c they are booked that week. So what if I switch to AKL now and there are no codes available? Then I get stuck with a room we didn't want to pay that much for.

I guess my question is...what are the odds I'll be able to get a code for standard AKL if the rooms are still available now?

Silly I know..I think this board is driving me mad. :badpc:

Edited to add-has anyone held two ressies at once? The CMs told me they won't do it. But when she put all my info in for the above..it seemed like she didn't find me-from my original ressie. Any advice on how to go about this..or is it too complicated or too unethical? Should I just put it in DH's name or something? I would obviously cancel one when the codes came out.

Just to let you know - I was in your position last year. I was able with no problem to get an AKL standard room for my time frame. Good luck! :wizard:

No, they aren't, none of them are in fact. I kept getting a Magnolia and one time I said something to her about getting her so often, or was there more than one perhaps. She said they all have a special name there and that none of them go by their real names. Now, this might be at her call center (I think there is more than one right?) and that is just what they do.

Just spoke with CM Albert, nothing yet and he thought it would be a few more weeks. What is WDW thinking? I really am missing the BRP...this is no fun!

I just joined AAA in order to get a discount on my vacation. I got the Magic your way package for $4,031. I just called Disney, gave me a bunch of run around told me to call AAA and have them call Disney (didn't make any sense to me and the oper. couldn't tell me why AAA had to call them) Anywho, AAA called Disney they wouldn't talk to him. Holy Moly! So then I had to write a letter with a heap o' information and fax it to Disney. The whole point to this longed winded vent..... it saved me $300. That's worth a couple of dinners.

Have a magical day,
Anna

Well, the way i see it, if Disney doesnt come up with a AP rate real soon, i wont go to WDW this year. :scared:

Im looking at July 6th - July 20th (7 days inside this timeframe).

In the meantime, the plane tickets gets more and more expensive. At the moment i can get a return flight from Denmark - Orlando for about 900$. If i wait too long, i will have to pay 1,000 - 1,100$.

So, if they dont release it very soon :stir:, within the next 2 weeks, im going to Disneyland Paris this summer!. :snooty:

Tinkeroo-thanks for the info. I guess I'll hold out changing ressies since hopefully those pesky codes will be out soon. :sunny:

OK thanks! Maybe after 2:00pm? :duck: :scratchin

Called a few minutes ago and only Poly discount rate I could get for a wide variety of May dates I gave her was AAA. Oh, she also offered Disney Visa promo. but she said it was just for park tickets & couldn't keep AAA discount, so I passed.

GV Rack rate = $360+tax/night
AAA GV rate = $332+tax/night = $370.20/night

Also tried to get GVC, but nothing but rack rate: $500+tax/night

Don't know how someone who previously posted got a rate of $269+tax for May '06.

Do you remember the name of the CM you spoke with last night that did book the rate for you?

I am so confused...What is going on? :confused3 I have been gone all morning and just came online around 12:20 cst and I am reading they are out...they aren't...some have gotten the AP rate....Can anyone give me the quick and dirty?

Thanks Speed! I too was hoping for something in the $99 mod/$69 value range but I'd actually be willing to pay the AAA I've got booked. I just can't wait to get back to the world.

About 4-5 people on this thread got an AP for April and May. One is from Fl. and got it LAST NIGHT!! I figured it was available to me, alas no way, I booked with a AAA rate. :confused3 So there it is the Quick and the Dirty! ;)
