CODES ARE OUT THRU 6/3! CALL NOW - they are out!!

POFQ standard was the ONLY ROOM LEFT for my time period! (May 19-22). He said rooms are going FAST!!! Its a good thing I booked today! Later I can change it too another code.

Do you think they meant with AAA discount? I'm taking just DD 5/19 to 5/23 to celebrate her 7th birthday. I was thinking it wouldn't be too bad since I was able to book AAA at Pop just a week and a half ago or so. I hope it isn't too crazy there that weekend. If it is I'm sure my DD would be happy to hang out at the pool. I guess I'll just have to get her up and going to be at the parks before they open. At least we'd have an hour or so before it got too crazy and then we can relax at the pool. I was also able to make all the ADR's last week for all the times I wanted so I thought was a good sign too.

I'll keep checking to try to change that AAA to AP and I'm also taking an adult only trip 5/1 to 5/4 at POFQ.

I just got an AP rate for 5/28-6/4 for POR. It is $119+tax.

I was expecting to get rack rate but when she quoted me $119 I knew that wasn't rack. So it looks like AP for mods isn't a whole lot off...$36 off per night.

Don't have time to read the thread, so not sure if this was posted. I just went to the travel agents site and it is not letting me book past April 8th, but it did let me go all the way up to June 3rd for check in, but then says they aren't available past April 8th. So, it is halfway in the system.

I called this morning too and a nice CM named Patience (of all things!) said they only have rates up through April 13th.

I just talked to Patience also....she was very nice, I booked POP at the regular rate. I'll call back to get the AP rate. However, I did have a bit of an issue with her. When I tried to book my DME with her, she told me that my whole party had to arrive at the same time. Since I arrive on Mon and dh and dd arrive on Tuesday, she said we can't use DME!!! Ah.....no. So I called DME directly and they are still laughing. Said that wasn't true at all. And that I should call them (CRO) back and add my DME stuff now and if they have any issues they can call her at DME directly. We'll see what happens.

So, perhaps if they just check some front screen they aren't showing up but if you go ahead and book they are there?

just got off the phone and no ap rate YET! but I booked with AAA and she kept stressing to me to call TOMORROW! In fact she had called me back when I had to go take the kids to the bus this AM- and said that she was in a staff meeting that was holding her up. Then she said TOMORROW be sure to call to check! so I am hoping she knew something and was sending me some "signal" She must have said you are smart to book this now- and be sure to call TOMORROW about 5 times.

What does it take to get one and would I be able to apply it with AAA? I have not paid for my trip in full yet (not due until mid-March). Do I get an AP thru Disney?

Wonder if BC rates are more in line with AK or Poly? Thinking of buying 1 AP if rates are good enough. Does anyone know if regular AP holders get a discount at Disney water parks?

AP holders do get a discount at the water parks, I think about $4. You can check on mousesavers.com AP benefits. It's also on this web site, AP discounts I think.

This is making me nuts. I called for the 3rd time & tried to book as a new reservation & the AP still didn't come up so I cancelled it.

No, I really had to fight just to get through making it. My son was trying to get Sonic to play in the Gamecube and it had fingerprints on it so it wouldn't play and was crying for me to fix it while I was making the reservation. I just wanted to get it made and stop the meltdown.

Yes, you can get an AP thru the Disney website or at WDW (not sure if they still sell them at the Disney Store or not). You can book a room at the AP rate without the AP and then get it before you check in. No, unfortunately you can not combine an AAA rate and an AP rate, but the AP rate is usually much better. We should have an AP rate out before mid March (hopefully they'll be out very soon ) and you can decide which route is best for you. HTH.

And perhaps the Mod code you got was a AAA rate? $36 seems pretty stingy to me for AP. But what do I know, this is the first time I'm doing this.

I think that will definitely make up my mind to go with the deluxe. Our AAA at CSR is $27 off of rack. So the $36 won't make it worth it for us to get the AP.

Which makes me happy anyways, b/c I was trying to convince myself to spend the extra money for AKL.

Now for those of you who are experienced...what are the odds we could get a standard room at AP rate at AKL? I know they don't have a lot of standard rooms. I just can't see paying the difference for the savannah.

The AAA rate for the mods is 131.75 plus tax so 119...would be $10 higher than the AP rate this time last year.

So now 4 of us DIS'ers have rec'd the code? We could all be getting the same person....

I made a CRT reservation a few days ago....forgot to add the DDE discount so I called back and there was an issue that they charged me old rates, somehow we were disconnected. I called back a couple minutes later and said this is going to sound hokey but I just got disconnected trying to adjust this and she said "Mrs. Carlin?", she said I was the CM helping you! She said it was amazing that out of 500 CM's I got her. Not sure if they actually have 500 CM's answering the phone, but it was wild!

I couldn't resist. I called again and tried to make a new ressie b/c it seems that those that got the codes were making new ressies. I gave my info b/c I had too but didn't let on that I had a ressie already.

So I got Garnet (are those their real names?) and she was ohhh so kind. I think they are nicer to new ressies then those of us that keep calling. Kinda makes me feel guilty. But anyways, no codes but in her words -

"I can't promise, but I wouldn't be surprised if something came out this week" She said this several times. She also said that new discounts and deals come out from the marketing dept. when the season changes. They just shifted into peak season. Hence-new codes.

She asked if I was on some online boards-sounded as though I had. And that if I saw something for my time of travel...well that there isn't anything now..but sometimes something pops up and the person gets it. Basically, she said in a round about way that some discounts were given but I got the feeling they were given prematurely.

Anyways-some advice needed here. We have standard at CSR for a AAA rate. It looks like the AP rate for the mod won't make it worth the AP for us. If the Deluxe really is $100 off, we would get standard AKL which is still available as of this morning.

So should I cancel my CSR and switch to AKL now or wait for the code first. My fear is that I won't be able to get standard AKL once the code comes out. But if I cancel CSR now, I know I won't be able to get it back b/c they are booked that week. So what if I switch to AKL now and there are no codes available? Then I get stuck with a room we didn't want to pay that much for.

I guess my question is...what are the odds I'll be able to get a code for standard AKL if the rooms are still available now?

Edited to add-has anyone held two ressies at once? The CMs told me they won't do it. But when she put all my info in for the above..it seemed like she didn't find me-from my original ressie. Any advice on how to go about this..or is it too complicated or too unethical? Should I just put it in DH's name or something? I would obviously cancel one when the codes came out.
