I just got off the phone with a super helpful cast member named Ferris. He told me he could not offer me an ap rate at this time, but he could tell me with great assurance that those rates would be available in the morning. He told me to call first thing in the morning.

I wonder if codes are released tomorrow, if they will be onling in the morning as well?

I joined AAA just today for $45. I in turn called Disney (after working out the kinks) I saved $300. So I save $255 and I have AAA for the year.

I've always found that there is a lag time in the over the phone reservations and the online.....the online usually is later.

I called up to inquire about the rate at the AKL, and when I told him I was going to stick with Pop, he asked me if I was driving or flying. I told him I was flying. He said,"Well, if you were driving, and your car broke down, who would you call." I replied, "AAA." He told me they do have AAA rates available, but I do not have AAA.

Interestingly, he also recommended that I go ahead and book the AKL to ensure that I have a room there, and then call to apply the code in the morning. Normally, I wouldn't do that, but I liked the guy, so I went ahead and did it. I can always cancel right? LOL

So is this just AP rates or general codes??

If the mod AP rate is $119.00 per night, that is a real downer. That is only $10-$12 per night cheaper than the AAA rate. I guess every little bit helps, but I am very bummed out about it!

I agree! I posted eariler that it wouldn't be worth the AP purchase for us. But it might just push us up to a deluxe since that wouldn't be much more than the AAA mod we have reserved.

I posted earlier about a very similar conversation I had this AM with a CM- who kept insisting I call TOMORROW to check again(she said it 5 times) So I booked and we'll see what happens tomorrow. fingers crossed would love to save some $$. And I have a question- I have an AP that expires midway through our trip- will I need to get a new one to get an AP rate on my room the entire time? anybody know?

I just booked the Poly 5/16-5/21 $269 + tax per night....WL was $210 AKL $230...


she never gave me a "code' and I kept asking - did these just come out and she said she had no idea..

I called with the intent to book an AAA rate....and she said an AP rate came up!

It depends, sometimes the general codes are released within a few days of the AP rates....however last year there were no general room only codes released for 4/17/05-7/4/05 or for 7/5/05-8/21/05, only AP and Florida Passholder rates. The free dining package was offered for 8/21/05-10/4/05

I am paying $146.00 a night WITH the AAA rate. So, if I get the Fl Resident Rate, how much more can I save? $119.00 + 12% tax is $133.28 if I use the code and if its 119.00. I am only saving $18.00 more!

jjohnson's right. I called today, similar dates as lillygator for the Poly GV and didn't get $269+tax/night (AP rate). The best they had was $332+tax/night, which is AAA. Rack rate is $360+tax/night.

Where are you staying? I would just assume (don't quote me it's going to be a straight $100,$40,$20 for AP rates. AAA is 15% off for mods in May.

Staying at POFQ! I think rack rate is 172.00 with Tax.
