I booked reservation, tix and dining plan in august for Feb 2017. So if/when discounts come out, I'd just call Disney to see what I might get off my total. Is that right?

There is a rumor that discounts will be released to Visa Cardholders on Wednesday 9/28 and the general public on Monday 10/3. Travel Dates Jan 1st through Mar 7th. No information regarding what properties or amounts.
I have no idea where the rumor came from (and have seen nothing from our reliable source Joe Black although he's been MIA on the boards for awhile). My initial reaction is I'm not sure if this is true or just a Travel Agent blowing smoke.
I do it for my parents too but use a TA. My parents never know what they are booking or getting until close to the trip. I just square it away with the TA and tell mom to call with her card number. Heck, I even plan their food. LOL. But we do have a wonderful time together!Best part is - I'll be up early for my ILs! My deals are done, but I'm in charge of their packages too. I'd rather just do it myself than try to convince them to be ready at a moment's notice (and get up early for possibly no reason!)
That's what I do for my daughters and grandkids. I plan the whole thing and make all the ADRs and fastpasses. I put their deposits on my Disney Visa, so I'm hoping that I can get the discounts for them as well. It worked in 2013. Fingers crossed.I do it for my parents too but use a TA. I'm new here, but I'm "hoping" to plan a trip in February. Waiting to see about hubby's work. Anyway, does this deal tend to run out quick? I'm only asking because if the deal is good, that is the only way we would go (if hubby can get it off) but we won't know for another 2 weeks if he will get it off.
If you have a TA, have them book for you and then put the $200 deposit down. This will ensure you get the discount package and can still cancel. You can do all of this yourself as well, I just like using a TA.I'm new here, but I'm "hoping" to plan a trip in February. Waiting to see about hubby's work. I think you can now but I am not 100% sure. I am sure someone with better knowledge will come along soon.I'm also new to all of this... and this may seem like a dumb question, but can you book with the discount online for Disney Visa cardholders, or do you have to call?
I think you will be able to book online - however my primary concern is whether it will be available online immediate tomorrow. The Visa deals being booked online is a fairly new concept for Disney. I would be prepared to call tomorrow in the event they aren't online.I'm also new to all of this... and this may seem like a dumb question, but can you book with the discount online for Disney Visa cardholders, or do you have to call?

Okay, stupid question, where do you look to see if the discounts have come out?![]()
