I just got off the phone with Penelope at res. She looked up my address and said I had a code for Jan. and Feb.- Months I have never been there.....makes no sense to me.
She also told me if you get a room discount you cant purchase the DDP. Is this correct??? Can anyone dispute that???
ALso told me it didnt look good for free dining for April or anytime....just bounce back people....that stinks!!!! She said not even with a Disney Visa.

If you got a email with a code, was it in a downloadable snowglobe?? I just got a email from Disney but the download was taking soooo long I canc. it. (big mistake???)...

First of all, forget Penelope! The first two people I talked with this morning said the same thing. The third guy said the reservations had to be BOOKED during Jan./Feb. using the code. Find someone who will just try putting the code in for you in the month you want to go. In my case, he said the system "accepted" the code with my dates. Yeah!!!!!!

With room only code you can't ever call back and add the dining plan. Just buy the DDE card and save 20% on your meals.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you had to be a FL resident or an AP holder to get the DDE card. Has this changed?:confused3

I was going to ask that next. I dont think I can get DDE, according to everything I read anyway.....

I booked with the code. I tried the Z code but I didn't want dining so the CM I talked to said I needed to use a different code which he put in and it worked. When I called back to upgrade from WL to GF the CM read back my booking info and said I was booked under the Jan/Feb code. And it does not come with dining. I did book a package though.

Yes & No. you are correct but wrong;) Disney has changed it. If you are an AP holder you an get it for $65 + $25 for second card.. if you do not have an AP but want the DDE card, you pay $85 + $25 for second card fee... so you were actually correct, but it has changed...
years ago, it was just for FL residents.. and much much cheaper.. and second card was free.. seems they keep extending the offer & increasing the price.. watch because next, they might start removing some of the places you can eat.. they have done that a few times in the past...

For $85 card, don't you have to be a FL resident? The way I'm reading what you wrote is anyone can get the card at $85 (not just FL residents), when was this change? :)

It used to be that you had to be a FL resident but now it has extended to all passholders but just pay different prices. That is the only change. You still have to be a passholder to get the DDE.
