Hi all

2 more days and our holiday commences!! What I'm after is some lovely suggestions of lovely cocktails/alcoholic mixes that I can try when we're there! I know of the pineapple drink, Lapu? at the Poly, which is where we're staying, but has anyone got any other recommendations?

I love fruity cocktails, but no gin (it brings me out in a rash!:) ).

Thanks.

Try the alcoholic slushies in France... Lemon Citron, which tastes like frozen lemonade, or Grand Marnier. The stand where these are sold is really close to the crepe stand near Chefs de France in Epcot.

Frozen margaritas in Mexico are also good.

If you have dinner at the California Grill, their French Martini (made with champagne and vodka - no gin) is excellent.

Since you're staying at the Polynesian, I'd suggest a mojito. I had one of the best ones I've ever had there in January! Yum. I don't think I'll make it there on my next trip, but I'm planning on drinking my way around the world at Epcot!

my DW informed me that she will be having a few drinks this trip, so i'll be watching this thread pretty close for some good suggestions..

ooh, that French Martini sounds good....Is it only available at the Cali Grill?

Thanks!

If you are going to AKL -- their Mount Kilimarita is very good. It's their version of a margarita, and it contains Jose Cuervo Gold tequila, Van Der Hum Tangerine Liqueur, and a Splash of Cranberry Juice. Yum.

It's best on the rocks -- not frozen.

Just park your but at the Tambu lounge and enjoy whatever strikes your fancy. Outstanding Margaritas there and I also quite enjoyed the Captain's Mai Tai

I second the Mount Kilimarita if you can get to AKL. Also, if you like champagne/sparkling wine, I highly recommend the Iron Horse Fairytale Cuvee Brut. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a few bottles to bring home.

OH SNAP!! Where is that again in AKL?

I've had it at Boma, and I know you can also get it at Jiko if you're dining at either. You can probably also get it at Victoria Falls if you just want to stop in for a drink.

Oh GOODY. Have dinner at Boma on the day we arrive on the 26th. Will make sure to order 1 or 2 of those.

This is on my list of must tries for my next trip. Welsh Dragon: Peach schnapps, Melon liqueur, crème de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice ...This was recommended on another thread. I can wait to try it out at the Rose & Crown Pub.

On my last trip I had a delicious new drink! It was called a Iced Chai Tea. It had Chai liquor, malibu Rum, and cream ....yummy!!!:thumbsup2 This can be found at the Territory Lounge and the Outer Rim.

I found a bar at Typhoon Lagoon. Make sure to hit the Canteen at MGM. POR has a poolside bar and there is a Jazz Themed restaurant at POFQ. I will certainly have a great time now. No worrying about driving. Just didn't think they have things like this for the adults. Checked out allearsnet.com and looked at the menus. Some showed what kind of drinks they serve.

If you're drinking around the world at Epcot be sure to try a Pomegranate Kir... a kir royale made with champagne and pomegranate liqueur. Very good!

You can order this from our hard drinking friends in France! Although, I bet some of the more upscale restaurants are probably offering it now, too, because the pomegranate liqueur has become so much more popular.

Sangria is also a very nice choice - they have a terrifc Sangria at Raglan Road over at Downtown Disney.

Oh, oh, oh... and at the pool.... try an Espresso Chiller: Starbucks cream liqueur and espresso blended with frozen cappuccino and ice cream. Where's the drooling icon when you need it? ;)

Where in Epcot?

By the way, does anyone know where to get a real Bellini (with peach puree as opposed to peach schnapps)?

I got one two years ago at AKL but they don't carry the peach puree anymore since they went with the standardized drink menus.

I think you can get these in the Italy pavillion at Epcot - does anyone here know for sure?
