Sounds like you know how to make friends fast :thumbsup2

I'll bet a couple of beers or a Kungaloosh or two would make us all forget refillable mug violations, how much a bag of ice is, golf cart abuse, and how much the guy next door paid for his MH and whether or not a group is closing off a loop for a private party. So here is my open invitation. Everybody knows what FWguy's Kiwi looks like (see picture below). I am at FW every October for 2 weeks, generally in the 1600 loop, and I have happy hour with Kungaloosh, beer available, and/or frozen pina coladas, along with a healthy mix of soda - ice cold - every evening about 5pm. If you want to stop by, come on over, but the rule is - no griping or negative thoughts. Just good, positive, comaraderie at the one place where we all wish we could be every day.:thumbsup2

Great idea guys :thumbsup2 ! Only wish I could be there thinking (and drinking) happy thoughts with you!

I will be there from 4/8 thru 4/14!

Beers at our site too! And I will have mudslides for much cheaper than at Crockett's Tavern!

We will be in a preferred site, a white chevy 2500 4wd truck, a 29' Fourwinds TT, three kids, one dh and me. And we are from PA.

Hope to meet up with ya!

Seriously, what other resort would people ever do this at? I'm sorry, but if you're going to Disney, there is no place like the Fort!!!

Sometimes I think FW is kind of a step back in time, when everything wasn't so rushed, people said hello when walking by, and random strangers gathered around campfires swapping tales.

Ok, I need to go to the Fort now...lol

hahaha...I think it is fwg...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Our next trip is the Wed. before Turkey day till the Sunday after....DW is a teacher and can't get off any earlier, but I am sure I will be sitting outside the camper drinking a glass of scotch.....

Now unless DW can get us in around Sept. that would be even better....

How about I bring some N'awlin's Abita beer for the party ? We can drink around the campground...:rotfl:

We'll be there from 4/4-4/11 in a white Dakota quad cab pulling a 30ft Jayco Kiwi, in a preferred pet loop. Our gang consists of our DD 14 DD 12 (whats the pet abbv? DP ?) 2 Chihuahuas my DH and me. This is our first real camping trip we can't wait!

My goal - to line up 9 other people to host happy hour while I am there so I only do it one night.

Great, just great. Everybody is hosting a happy hour the week after us - maybe we will have the place to ourselves..? Kajun - I'll be looking for that Abita Turbodog..!

Our Magical Express: Red Silverado Crew/1992 HR AlumaLite 32ft.

T-7 days until we haul ourselves to FW..! If I can get it out of the mud..!

beers and disney perfect together. since i have to haul from new jersey i figured i will travel light, i am only going to bring ten thirty packs, hope to see you there.

Well, we'll be there November 17th through November 26th, (2007), for our annual family reunion trip. We have drinks almost every night, and spend all day on Thanksgiving cooking up a full Thanksgiving dinner (I mean just like you were at home, it's crazy).

(Turkey was actually much bigger in person, the angle of the shot makes it look small, but it was a biggie, fed 10 people!)

Now, last year at this time it was really cold at night, so we kind of had to limit ourselves to staying inside at Crockett's Tavern ;)

But if anyone's ever looking to stop by and say hi, look for the lighted Mickey Mouse ears hanging from the trees, it's an easy way to find us. I still see very few people do this, we first started about 5 years ago after seeing someone else do it about 10 years ago. We hang them about 30-40 feet up in the trees, so you can see them from pretty far. It's white lights, basically 3 hula hoops in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears. When we first put them up, we hadn't seen another site do it in years, now we see at least one other site a trip that does it (maybe we helped start a tradition!).

The hardest part is trying to get the ears as high as possible, these went up about another 10 feet after this picture was taken, found a better branch ;)

Ford F250 4x4 white truck, 5th wheel.

Oh, and the truck has a sign on the front that says "Happy and Grumpy", and the trailer hitch in the back is a metal trailer hitch I got off EBay that says "Grumpy"...lol.

And you would be Happy or Grumpy? At my house, I am frequently referred to as Dopey.

All males in my family are referred to as Grumpy's, although to be honest we're only grumpy at times ;)

I try my best not to be Dopey, but sometimes I fail.

They didnt have a dwarf with the name that I am usually reffered to.

I hope you are all planning on having a "designated" golf cart driver :scared:
