I had mentioned to him before he left that Shutters didn't get very good reviews, but he should try it anyways and then report back to me.

Well, he just got back and loved Shutters. In his words, he thought it was "great". :lmao:

Couple other interesting observations he made:
1. At Captain Jacks in DTD they insisted that his 11 year old daughter order from the adult menu.

2. He didn't do the dining plan and figures they saved a lot of money. Now, we didn't have serious long discussion to work through the numbers, but just briefly it appears he probably did save money.

3. Even though they were there during the busy Easter Holiday they had a great time and saw all the attractions they wanted to. They also got some pixie dust from other guests in the form of fast passes.

4. Mentioned the fast pass lines still had lines, especially Test Track.

5. He really like Animal Kingdom, thought that park was wonderful.

I am always amused that people are reporting that there were lines when using the Fast Past system. That system isn't to take away all the wait time just the very worst of it.

I think the point I was trying to make was there really isn't a difference in the length of the lines whether they enforce the fast pass times or not.

Test Track is always a bad example as well. I've seen plenty of times when the FP line stretched to the entrance.

It's neat to hear an report from a non-expert like many on here are. I'm glad your co-worker had a good time!

I read bad things about Shutters all the time but we liked it too. We ate there when we stayed at CBR in 09 - our food was really good and our server was fun and interactive with our tired/shy 5 year old. Maybe we got lucky?

YAY! Another Shutter's fan! LOL! My family has always loved Shutters!

I'm glad he had a good trip. I hate to hear that they made his 11 year old child order from the adult menu... many 11 year olds just don't have that kind of palate yet and still prefer the macaroni-n-cheese or pizza dishes. If it's not DDP, I think the patron should be allowed to do that. Oh well, they didn't ask for my opinion did they? LOL
