It seems that the schedules for CMs that would include the April 1st opening have been delayed until March 24th...should have gotten today.

So, it may mean we will get some info by Tuesday!

Let’s hope!

Thinking they will extend. Might just add something like 2 more weeks or go through past Easter for a 6 week closing.

It seems to me that most people won’t want to travel, so I doubt WDW will open soon. I just keep moving reservations because I have a bunch of holding points and move the reservation 60 days out every week or so.

How could they not extend the closing given all the other things in Florida that have been ordered closed? Chances of an opening prior to mid-April & Easter is virtually zero.

They are considering postponing the Summer Olympics as I type.

I completely agree. I was just excited to see that we might get the actual announcement of closing so people can plan and DVC can maybe make some other decisions vs. working on the official notion with members that is just for 2 weeks.

I agree. But they may just extend the closing 1 week or 2 weeks at a time. Or go big and extend through past Easter to that 6 weeks the CDC initially suggested. I think that is what was initially suggested. I feel like they might just do short extensions because they can always keep extending but it would be more awkward to go back on a closing and open earlier. Folks will have cancelled resies and all. So I think they are just going to extend it into April just a bit for now. Like until the 14th. Plus then they can work on those cancellations, work on them bit by bit instead of being inundated with a month's worth all at once.

They also likely cannot go from hard close to full open overnight. Not after a week plus shutdown. Lots of restock (QS kitchens) and likely ride testings.
