That's funny! Did you ever imagine that you'd think thoughts like that, even in jest, about a message board? But this is so addictive!

I never take my laptop on vacation - I get to see stuff on the internet and email on my phone, so it was never necessary. But viewing and posting on this site, even with the "mobile skin" won't be fast/easy enough! So I'm actually considering taking my laptop so I can check in with you guys everyday! Who'd have thunk it?

Since this is my first message board, no I have never thought of it before.:lmao:
Dont even own a laptop!:rotfl:
But I am considering one, if not just to bring to Disney next time to keep up with everything!

Hey 3G&G,

Nice way to post your proclamation.....but how'd you do that? See what happens to mine? Any idea as to how to fix mine?

First, either place the IMG codes for Pooh and the proclaimation one after the other in your siggie layout without a space.
This will place them side by side.
Or second, resize the proclaimation using a photo editing software, resave it to whichever hosting site you use.
I use Photobucket.

As far as the detailed view, I used Photoshop, crop, image size so that they were both the same height (in this case 175pixels), save to photobucket, and place the Img codes one after the other in my siggie.

Thanks...I'll work on that. I wondered how people got things side by side. Common sense I guess.....must be lacking it! :goodvibes

We are planning on staying in the Grand Villa in 09!! I'm so excited!! And I'm thrilled about the pool table!!:cool1:

I am SOOOOO jealous!
I grew up with a pool table, played since I was 5.
Stood on a chair to shoot.
I WANT TO STAY IN A GV!!! WAHHHHH!

I am :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: SO SO SO excited. But the new two story villas will not have pool tables. So I'm a little torn!

Just stopping by to say a quick "hello!"

I love what you've done with your signature, 3g&g - looks great!

Those Grand Villa's look amazing! I guess I have a new Disney goal! My wife and I LOVE Animal Kingdom and to be able stay at the Lodge - especially in one of those Villa's - would be the perfect way for us to spend a trip!

Sorry for the brief visit, but I've got to head out again. I'll catch up with you all later!

Alright so far . . . pretty busy. I'm actually going to have to log off here real soon so I can make SURE I get to work on my taxes today!

HEY! How come the auto-thingy didnt remove that 4 letter word with 5 letters.... TAXES
Thanks for reminding me Justin...

OK Cat, are you looking over my shoulder here?
I posted this 20 mins ago on the DVC boards.
It is in regards to the new AKV's Grand Villas.
They actually have a pool table in the rooms!
Check out the pics using the top right corner link on the post below.

No - we just must be on the same wavelength! ESP?

Not only the phrase, the the AKV as well. I would so love to be able to do DVC, but as a single person, there's just no way for me to do it. I was never even tempted to look into it before, but once they announced AKV, I have been dreaming of being able to do that!

Some of my very best memories of trips to WDW have to do with my Mom and I staying at AKLodge. We've always been the "value resort" type of people, but after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, we decided to start spending her retirement savings (and charging against mine!) by making as many trips as we could to WDW and we started staying everytime at AKL. Oh my, how wonderful those trips were! Sometimes we wouldn't ever go to the parks - just sit on the balcony and watch the giraffes (my Mom's faves) and all the other animals. Such good times!

She's unable to travel anymore, but I know if the Villas had opened 10 years ago, Mom and I would have figured out a way to be members!

Okay, I'm going to have to buy a lottery ticket for tonight, now!

Do you think maybe we're related? Long lost siblings or something? We sure think alike! :)

ESP! Thats it!
Sorry to hear about your Mom, I have had to deal with 2 family members (A&U) with Alz, it was an awful thing to watch happen, as they both had violent tendancies.

I have not yet stayed at AK, but would love to one day.

I checked the rack rates for a 3 bdrm GV at AK.......

$1485-2155/night depending on season:scared1: :scared1:
TAXES not included!
$10,400-15,000/wk:scared1: :scared1:

Or a $2,500 maintainance fee for 600 DVC points....hmmmmm
Plus the buy in of $62,000.
But thats a GV every year for one week for 49 years, mid season!
Now all I have to do is figure out how to fill it....12 people....lets see....

Yeah, it's a mean disease. But we were lucky in that my Mom hasn't had the violent thing happen. In fact, if anything she became even sweeter than she was before!

One of the things I did when we were on our trips was I bought tigger and eeyore ears for us, and made a little adjustment by adding Mickey ears on top. We wore those everywhere, and she was sooooo tickled by all the attention. Think about it...how many really older ladies wear ears all the time? She looked so cute! Everyone who saw her had to smile, and many fussed over her. Even un-disney unhappy looking men would comment "Nice ears!" and give her a big smile. She'd smile back, and shake her head so the eeyore ears would swing back and forth!

Here's the best picture of us where you can see the ears - we sure had fun!
