CMO TOP 10 Announced

Speaking of the final voting push - - - have you all been voting? Spreading the word and the love?

The other voting "game" that some of my friends of been playing involves the security codes. (for those who missed it, the first game was a challenge to see how many votes you could cast during the 60 second running time of my video. Those who use a speedy keystroke shortcut recorded totals in the the 30's! Regular typers topped out at 12 votes in a minute. Anyone want to try again? ;) )

Anyway, they try to make up words, stories, or discover acronymns within the codes. Some are easier than others, but they seem to find that it keeps them entertained when they are just about to lose interest and stop voting for a period.

On an interesting side note, I have yet to have a code with the letters c, m, and o, all in it. Anywhere. Most of the codes seem to emphasize less-used letters like q, z, and x. Does anyone know why that is?

Woo Hoo! Wendy! You look mahr-velous! I so cannot wait for mine!

Cat -- referencing back to my inspirational quote I gave to Fleagle -- JUST DO IT!!

And if that is not inspiration enough .. then how about this??

If May 1st were your last day on earth, would you be proud that you saved money or regret that you didn't go to Disney World one more time?

Hmmm?!??

:confused3 :rotfl2:

I'm with Marshay on this one! I love that outlook!

Ok, well I seem to find myself on here alone, again (I'll take a hint guys! :) ) so I'll wrap up with a quick story before I leave . . .

I conduct an orchestra at my church that is made up of high school students and local adults. It's a really neat collection of people and personalities and it is a lot of fun to see them all interact and support each other. I've been sending out fairly regular email updates and trying to include fun facts and motivational messages to everyone I know to encourage them to keep voting. In one of my more recent emails I started including dictionary style definitions of the words from my video. In one I defined "possivisionouraging" as follows:

Possivisionouraging (pahs – eh – viz – shun – uhr – eh – jing); orig. “Justinese”: A state of being, often considered a leadership attribute, in which one shares a positive vision in which anything is possible with others in the most uplifting and encouraging way one can. (other forms include: possivisionouragist, possivisionourage, possivisionourageable, etc.)

SO, with that in mind, here’s a challenge. Be a possivisionouragist in someones life this week. Be uplifting, encouraging, positive, and allow them to see that everything is possible!

Well, a group of high school students took that to heart and made t-shirts with the word "possivisionouragist" on the front. It had two effects: 1) they found themselves more aware of how they could brighten someone elses day and 2) they found that a lot of people were asking them what it meant -SO they had a chance to explain the word, the idea, and give the website out to other people.

Totally unprompted by me. If you give them a chance, kids - even teenagers - will surprise you sometimes! I really love working with these students!

Note: Joke coming...no one get upset...

Edit: this looks bad after Justin's great post above, but there you have it! :)

Ok, in this scenario, what if I'm not "lucky enough" to have May 1st be my last day? What happens when I wake up on May 2nd, and I'm not dead? Who pays the bill? :lmao:

Ok - I was just joking! :thumbsup2

A big wow to Cat and Andy for making works of happy art that all of us enjoy.
Great idea with your students, Justin!
It was great to see all the videos from everybody. It is certainly true that one of the huge pleasures of all of this is experiencing our own and everybody's else's creative places. If people dream of new experiences or wish for a better job I think it is often because of wanting to be in that creative space.
Having others to share the fun of those moments with is the best.
Thanks for all the great laughing!
Heather

Quick drive-by hello! Hope all is well with everyone! :grouphug:

He is definitely in my TOP 3.

Tripp posted a link to his blog and the video in post 1461 on page 98 of this thread. It was great to see his personality in the video. The interview with the policeman was particularly fun!

Well, I did it! Just bought my air tickets!

Here's what made up my mind for me: Flower Power concerts!

April 6 - 9 Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone
April 10 - 12 The Grass Roots Starring Rob Grill

Good for you! And just send Mickey the bill!!! :rotfl2:

Sort of. We are still in Savannah for tonight and will return home tomorrow. So I should be back in full tomorrow for the last week of voting. I had the best time in Disney World with the family. The food was great, we ate a lot of it, but walked most of the calories off each day. I even got a chance to hang out with fellow Top 10'er Meggin. She was great! (Hey Meggin! I really paid the price for eating that double scoop of chocolate from Beaches & Cream). I also met some great folks while there and got some good CMO advice. I put a video on my blog: http://tripp4cmo.blogspot.com

I've got some catching up to do and will check in later.

i loved your video!! and i'm sorry that the chocolate ice cream wasn't kind to you! i've been SO busy this weekend, so it's nice to be able to check back in with my friends!! i'm glad that you made it back safe and sound, even though you had to endure some scary weather at the hotel!

love,
meggin

Okay, I've just spent the last 3 hours trying to get caught up on the new thread. I've missed so much fun and I'm still just on page 66. I hope to read more later today. Sorry I haven't been around for the last few weeks. We were gone last week with our spring break. We've also been dealing with some pretty icky personal things right now that have made it difficult for me to spend time/energy online.

I'm still following my favorite CMO candidates and I've loved getting to know you all more through this thread.

Justin, we may be moving to an area somewhat near you. We're hoping for a position for my husband at WVU in Morgantown. I've been scoping out the shopping in Pittsburgh and have been happy to see that some of my favorites are in that area (Ikea, Half Price Books, and Costco to name a few).

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still around and that I'm looking forward to lifting my spirits by soaking up the :wizard: from everyone.

Suz

i'm sorry that things have been hard, but we're here for you!! thanks for keeping up with us--we're glad you're back!!:flower3:
