With our next question, please welcome DONALD!

{Donald Trump enters}

DONALD: Oh... you were expecting the Duck. Well, Donald Duck is, of course, the greatest in the world. But when you talk about DISbates, you've got to have THE Donald with you. I see the CMO as a bit of a Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, Thursdays at 9) So... you candidates:

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

Um, Mr. Trump. Please don't tell me I'm fired. I'm not like Gene Simmons. I might cry....

Disney has been a source of great joy and comfort in my childhood and adult life. I would certainly say that the person I’ve become has been directly related to everything that Disney stands for. Disney has also been with me through some major life events—my husband even proposed to me at the Magic Kingdom, because he knew how much it would mean to me to start our life together that way. I desperately want to share the Disney love and magic I’ve felt with other Park guests—I truly feel responsible to do so!!

Ah, what can ye do with a pirate? Seriously, though, I respect Kenny’s right to hold anyone he so desires hostage.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with our brethren, Kenny, he was a winner in last years SPONSOR Dream Job Contest. So while he may feel that he has solid ground to stand on with them, I do not! So – sorry Kenny! – that is the last time tonight that I’ll have your back regarding your protest! I believe the fact that Disney and CareerBuilder.com come up with these contests is one way that Disney shows they have a respect and admiration for their fan base. So, while I respect Kenny’s position, I will go on record stating that I will gladly publicize the fine sponsors of this competition – Disney Destinations and CareerBuilder.com - as much as they want!

(okay, that may seem like a dastardly unloyal thing to do, but I'll make it up to you if I win! :thumbsup2 )

Justin is providing the first born child and a dole whip I think.

Question #1: Kenny the Pirate has refused to refer to Disney on the message boards, joking that he wants them to give him a free trip before he will advertise them any more. What do you think of that?

If I am elected Disney CMO, I will grant KTP a free trip and Fleagle too, for all the work they have done to promote Disney. They will be flown to the Disney Studio in California where they will be awarded the trip by Michael Eisner himself.

EEEEEKKKK, Can I meet Bob Iger instead?

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

Since I was 16 years old and could drive (1958) I took lots of people to Disneyland from Washington State. Becoming the first Disney CMO would provide an opportunity to continue doing that but way more bigger!! What could be better than introducing someone to a Disney idea or a Disney Dream and having them turn and say, “I see what you meant!”

Meggin told me she'd help me hug bears if I voted for her!

that's true--you know, I had a friend who used to have a bear in his apartments with pneumatics that would actually play an instrument. His wife made him give that up....

Well the obvious thing to point out here is...PIRATE! Mr. "the Pirate" is of course free to or not to refer to Disney on the message boards as he likes. I was under the impression that he all ready got a free trip last year. I say, leave some free trips for everyone else you greedy greedy pirate. Of course who doesn't want free trips...and as I said...PIRATE! Just WHO does he think he is?!?

Aw heck, ya just cant stay mad at the guy...I mean, who doesn't love a pirate!

Thar be plenty 'o free trips for us all. Have ye seen the loot these trading companies be keepin' in thar booty?

We are honored to have a VERY special guest for our next question:

Please welcome Vice President Dick Cheney!

{CHENEY enters in his quail hunting gear}

CHENEY: Sit down, be quiet... not much time here. Got to get back under Space Mounta... uh... to my secret underground bunker. Here's my question:

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

Like so many people, my earliest Disney memory involves walking into the Magic Kingdom as a young child and getting my first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. What a site! I can remember being mesmerized by the colors, the sounds, the smells, the people, the shops, the balloons, and just about everything I could soak in during those precious first few seconds. I was young – only about 5 years old, I believe – but those memories come flooding back to me on every visit. Now, when I stand just outside of the Confectionary and inhale what might possibly be the single greatest aroma in the world I feel like I am 5 years-old again and that the world is full of unlimited possibilities and that nothing can stand between me, a Mickey Bar, and a race to get in line for Space Mountain!

Give the man a point for correctly refering to Cinderella Castle!

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

From TRIPP (with slight edit because the question was phrased differently)

If it were limited to the Top 10, it would be Justin. I can tell his heart is in the right place, and when your heart is in the right place, that passion will burn and you will achieve your goal no matter what it takes. If Justin and I were running mates, we would be unstoppable. Plus he reminds me of a good friend I had in high school.

Okay, I guess I owe you a shorter answer after my last one. Sorry about that!

This is tough. The person in me who has watched too much CNN during the election coverage would say that the smart move is to find someone who balances my strengths. That might mean someone who is primarily familiar with Disneyland Resort. My heart, however, tells me to ignore that person (there we go, is that the second voice I’ve admitted to hearing? :rolleyes1 ).

Mostly because I’ve had the chance to get to know her on this site, and because I believe we share the same joy for life and passion for people, my Vice-CMO choice would be Meggin. Tripp’s personality and ability to communicate, as well as his great sense of humor, would make him a very close second. Meggin wins out, though, because I believe she shares my desire to make this contest about everyone but us. Look at her video – she spends so much time making other people happy that I couldn’t pick anyone else for this Vice CMO position.

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

FROM AMY KATE

Patrick. Come on. Anybody with that much creativity and passion has got to be a blast to hang with! And he brings his own Park with him. Bonus!

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

FROM DAVID H

Funny you should ask! Definitely Donald duck. Though he's not an official cadidate, he thinks he is. Deservingly so, I think he should have the position of VCMO. He would make a great right hand...duck.

NOTE: If possible, please "quote" the post with each question in your responses

Question #1: Kenny the Pirate has refused to refer to Disney on the message boards, joking that he wants them to give him a free trip before he will advertise them any more. What do you think of that?

Karrie Dunkin's Response:

Oh...so that's what "SPONSOR" means! :rotfl2:

I think KTP pirate: has given Disney a lot of free PR LOOT and I certainly understand his predicament. So, I think it would be in my best interest to present this scenario to Kenny. Okay, KTP...let's just say I made it into the Top Three and let's just say that I made you a part of my supportive dream team for the reality show portion of the competition. If a free trip to Disney will get your endorsement...I'm all over that! Almost 45,000 hits to your You Tube video, experience in the first-ever dream competition, the ability to track down Top 20 and Top 10 candidates in a single blow (and a totally fun guy)?!?!?! Okay, Kenny...in addition to all the Dole Whips and Mickey Bars you can eat...and if a free trip will get the PR LOOT...I thinks me could use a pirate on the team. Arrrr!

{In whispered aside to DISgeeks and Mr. DISgeeks}

Isn't this great? Fleagle sure does know how to throw a party, even when it's a DISbate, and not a par-tay in the car!

{Back to reading now...}

{Whispering back in response to Cat -- but perhaps a bit too loud}

Mrs. DISgeeks:Totally!! :goodvibes 'Sorry we arrived a few minutes late! ...Parking was a beast!

{Annoyed voice coming from the row of seats directly behind the DISgeeks family}

Red-Faced Angry Man: Hey, lady, can you pipe down? There are people who are trying to listen to this here Great DISbate!?!

Mrs. DISgeeks: Oops! 'Sorry! ... So sorry! :blush:

{Lowering her voice a bit and turning to her hubby}

Mrs. DISgeeks: Sheesh! Was I that loud??

{Mr. DISgeeks shrugs and nods an affirmative. Angry red-faced guy looks big, and he distinctly remembers that he's the DISer who recommended a steel-cage match.... :eek: }

Other than their specific questions, that ends the portion of the DISbate that was provided to Amy Kate, David H and Tripp. I hope they'll be able to answer the remaining questions at a later time.

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

We all have our reasons for wanting to become CMO. For me personally, I've always done what I can to make magic for those around me. For the last few years I've been part of several costuming groups. We'll do Star Wars characters as well as the Ghostbusters. We make regular appearances at several children's hospitals to help raise their spirits. We also make appearances to raise money for the same hospitals as well as for the MDA. At a recent fund raiser, there was a child in a wheelchair...kind of slumped over...looking toward the ground. His mother was pushing him in the chair. I guess he caught a glimpse of some of us in costume, because he picked up his head and this amazing smile popped onto his face. The mother watched this happen and began to sob. She composed herself and pushed the boy towards us. He was thrilled to be meeting some of his favorite Star Wars characters. She was thrilled because he smiled for the first time in as long as she could remember.

For me that's what being the CMO is all about. Getting the opportunity to go into the Disney parks and making guests days even better, brighter, and more special...and honestly, how cool is that!?!

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

Whoa, I'd better refresh this thread a little more often!! I'm going to get left behind!!

In response to the question:

Oh, no!! I can only choose one? Gosh, I’d like to think that my CMO vision and dream-making could be shared with everyone—I’d want to take parts of all of you with me!! That being said, if I had to choose a Vice-CMO from the top 10, I’d choose Justin. I feel like we connected early on in this contest, and I really admire and respect his enthusiasm and passion. I can feel his servant’s heart, and I feel connected to him that way. I think we probably have more in common than we’ve already discovered. You know, if I’m allowed to bring a top 20 with me, too, it’ll be Eric Kidwell. Gosh, you’re an inspiration.
