Ladies and Gentlemen, to ask the next question, please welcome back Pooh Bear!

POOH: Oh bother... I seem to have forgotten the question...

{TIGGER bounces onto the stage... he whispers in Pooh's ear}

TIGGER: A bit ironic, eh Pooh boy?

POOH: Um... I suppose if I knew what that meant, I might agree. Here is the question:

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

Like so many people, my earliest Disney memory involves walking into the Magic Kingdom as a young child and getting my first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. What a site! I can remember being mesmerized by the colors, the sounds, the smells, the people, the shops, the balloons, and just about everything I could soak in during those precious first few seconds. I was young – only about 5 years old, I believe – but those memories come flooding back to me on every visit. Now, when I stand just outside of the Confectionary and inhale what might possibly be the single greatest aroma in the world I feel like I am 5 years-old again and that the world is full of unlimited possibilities and that nothing can stand between me, a Mickey Bar, and a race to get in line for Space Mountain!

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

FROM AMY KATE

On my fifth Birthday, after spending an amazing day at Disneyland, I remember seeing Tinkerbell fly over the castle, just like she did every week on the Wonderful World of Disney and lighting up the sky with Pixie Dust during a firework spectacular. It was pure magic!

{In whispered aside to DISgeeks and Mr. DISgeeks}

Isn't this great? Fleagle sure does know how to throw a party, even when it's a DISbate, and not a par-tay in the car!

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

FROM TRIPP

I have so many memories. I was there in 1983, the spring after EPCOT Center (as it was known back then) opened. That was amazing. For my first memory though, I will have to go back further (the 70’s) to the first time I saw the Main Street Electrical Parade. I remember where I was when the lights went out and being so blown away by it that the memory is still burned into my head to this day… and I can still hear the music.

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

FROM DAVID H

My first Disney memory was going to Disneyland when I was four. I specifically remember riding the rockets with my late father. I hope that my kids will have the same fondness of a memory with me.

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

My first Disney memory is actually at the top of my video. I will never forget my first glimpse of Cinderella’s Castle from the monorail. It was the most beautiful thing my five-year-old eyes had ever seen, and I couldn’t wait to go inside of it. When we entered the park (my mom, dad, baby sister, nanna, pop-pop, and godmother Lori—whose lap I’m sitting on in the photo), we made a beeline to the castle. I wouldn’t let anyone stop for pictures. I was mesmerized by the music, the movement (of the carousel seen through the castle) and the idea that Cinderella actually LIVED in that very space. It was an amazing day, and Cinderella’s Golden Carousel is still my favorite ride—being the first one I ever rode on that day.

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

My first Disney memory was watching Walt on black and white TV pointing to a map of a triangle shaped amusement park he was building near Los Angeles. I remember it was fascinating and very imaginative. It was also far far away from Bremerton, Washington.

Aw man! The memories of the first time I saw the Main Street Electrical Parade are still with me too! That was unbeliveable! We used to sit in our house as kids and listen to the record of the parade over and over again. . . that's a great memory, Tripp!

With our next question, please welcome DONALD!

{Donald Trump enters}

DONALD: Oh... you were expecting the Duck. Well, Donald Duck is, of course, the greatest in the world. But when you talk about DISbates, you've got to have THE Donald with you. I see the CMO as a bit of a Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, Thursdays at 9) So... you candidates:

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

Hello everyone!* I am so excited to be here as a part of the great DISbate.* Thanks so much to everyone who made this happen (YAY Fleagles!).* Wow!* This is a group of absolutely amazing, wonderful, funny and very magical people.* I feel so honored to be a part of the Top 10!* So, why should I become your next CMO?* Well, in the spirit of Top Ten, here are my top 10 reasons:*

10.* I live in centrally-located Denver, CO...a perfect location for the traveling CMO and I love ALL Disney parks equally (although Disney Vail would be fantastic)!

9.* If elected, I will challenge Walt Disney's CEO Bob Iger to see who gets the highest score at the new Toy Story Mania.

8.* I have an extremely unique skill set:* detail-oriented, motivated, get-the-job-done "dreamer" with over 15 years of marketing experience.

7.* My boss has approved all required Disney CMO work days PLUS any other days I need for CMO duties (he's my husband...so that helps).

6.* CareerBuilder.com is sponsoring this contest & as their SuperBowl spot stated, "wishing alone" is not going to get the job.* So, I wished on a star, I put together this top 10 list and I offered a ton a free Dole Whips and Mickey Bars.* Wait, is that legal?* :rotfl:

5.* Anyone who can bring a 2, 4 and 6 year old on the Disney Cruise by herself truly DESERVES this job!* Now that's magic, folks!* :-)

4.* I have DEEP and BROAD knowledge of all things Disney!* I know Annette from the original Mousekateers, grew up with the Wonderful World of Disney and the "NEW" (70's) Mousekateers...and NOW I'm reliving the magic through the eyes of a 3, 6 and 7 year old.* Disney Channel or Radio Disney 24x7.* I know everything there is to know about HSM, Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana, The Wizards of Waverly Place, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger and Pooh.* Whether someone enjoyed Disney in the 50's or just became acquainted in 2008...I can "walk and talk it all!"

3.* I have a plethora of suppressed magic after years of "creative efforts" in politics, telecommunications and engineering.* I NEED SOME IMAGINEERING FOLKS!* :-)

2.* I've got a fever and the only cure is more magic.

1.* Because I would do a really super, fantastic, magical job and I would just love it if you would all click (and click and click and click and clear that web history and click and clear those cookies and click) your M-O-U-S-E for ME...Karrie!

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

FROM DAVID H

My life has been so blessed with a wonderful wife, two beautiful children, food to eat, a roof over my head, and the best country in the world to live in. I take nothing for granted. Becoming CMO would allow me to use my talents to give something back to so MANY people, DISNEY style. Being able to do that would be one of the greatest dreams I could ask for. In addition, as a kid I always wanted to be an Imagineer and create rides for Disney. This opportunity would provide the same outlet for turning my imagination into enjoyment for others.

With our next question, please welcome DONALD!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! FLEAGLE... YOU ROCK!!! TOO FUNNY!!!

NOTE: If possible, please "quote" the post with each question in your responses

Question #1: Kenny the Pirate has refused to refer to Disney on the message boards, joking that he wants them to give him a free trip before he will advertise them any more. What do you think of that?

Wow, I'm honored to be mentioned in the question! Tonight we are offering a short break in the SPONSOR hostage scenario. I've released them from the brig and I've requested their presence at the DISbate, so we can all freely say Careerbuilder.com and Disney. (Hey guys, I know you're watching!) I'll track who says it the most tonight too. Yes, I'm extremely grateful to them for allowing me to have my dream job last year and hope that the winner has an even more magical time, oh wait that's not possible!

Question #2: What is your first Disney memory?

My first very clear Disney memory would be from my first trip to Disneyland. I was three and visiting the park for the first time. I have a few vague memories from throughout the day, but the one thing that always stuck in my head was my last ride of the day. The sun was beginning to set, and my mother father and I were waiting to ride Peter Pan's Flight. I remember peeking in and seeing the nursery scene, there were small openings in the wall and you could see Nana the dog. My father and I took the ride...I don't really recall anything from the ride itself other then the figure of Captain Hook in the last scene, and then coming back out and seeing my mother waiting for us at the exit.

As broken into bits and pieces as the memory is, it's always stuck with me, and has been a very special memory to me.

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

My apologies to Tripp... but he was not provided with this question. Please imagine that he crafted a brilliant response and posted it here!

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

I apologize in advance for the length of this answer! Please keep in mind as you read that I was the only candidate that answered Kenny's question way back in this thread in the suggested ONE sentence! I'm due for a chance to be a little verbose!

My Disney history took a dramatic turn in 2002 and I honestly feel like this process is the fulfillment of a plan that has been in place for my life since at least that time. You see, I have always – like many of you – dreamed of working for Disney. I traveled to Walt Disney World frequently as a teen, often with high school music ensembles to perform and participate in workshops. After graduating from college with a degree in music education, I pursued what I thought was supposed to be my career path. I landed a job as a high school band director and at my first meeting with the band patrons I put in place plans to take 180 students to WDW for a spring trip. (Please keep in mind, I had just turned 22 at this point.)

Well, the trip to WDW was amazing. Seeing the parks through the eyes of so many teenagers who had never experienced them before was an unbelievable opportunity. Sadly, the rest of the school year didn’t leave me feeling as fulfilled as I had expected, and I found myself after only one year, questioning my career choice, my major, and the dreams that I thought I had for myself. Remembering the incredible experience Disney had provided for my students I decided to follow my original dream and pursue employment in Disney World. After a visit, an interview, and several other exciting opportunities, I had to make a decision about a job.

(Hang in there with me – sorry for the long-winded explanation! I am getting to my point). Meanwhile back at home, the church I grew up in and that my parents still attended was looking for a music director. While I wasn’t sure I was qualified, I felt a strong pull on my heart to apply. I believe God was steering my life in a new direction and I had to be willing to follow His path before I could see my dreams fulfilled.

So, long story short, I accepted a position at the church. It changed my life. Almost 6 years later I am still working there and I feel that what I do is making an incredible difference in the lives of so many people. Through the church I strengthened my relationships with my family, made incredible new friends, and met my amazing and beautiful wife. None of this would have been possible if I had forced my plans to move to Florida instead of listening to that still, small voice inside. (Great, now you think I’m hearing voices!)

My point is, the desire to work for Disney has never left me. I knew I had to wait until the time was right and until I had become the man I needed to be in order to make the most of the opportunity. Through my experiences over the past several years, I feel I have been molded into that person – the person who can take this opportunity and allow it to shape the lives of everyone he meets – the way my life has been transformed by a lifetime of dreaming and believing.

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

FROM AMY KATE:
I have always played the "little parts:" supporting roles, in life and in work. The silent Extra walking out the door as the hero enters. Most of us live our lives like that I think: not even sure if we are starring in our own lives. That is one of the things I love about going to Disneyland. When you are there, you are more than a visitor. You are a Guest. And the Cast Members go out of their way to make you feel like you are a star in your own story set in the Happiest Place on Earth. I would love to be able to create Magical experiences for others that make them the stars of their own stories that they will treasure and share with others.

I think it’s certainly a pirate’s responsibility to hold people at ransom for loot, and I understand that he is only acting under a pirate’s sacred code. However, if I become the official CMO, I’d offer him one of my official sponsor’s tickets as a peace offering. We want this pirate in our friendly seas.

Meggin told me she'd help me hug bears if I voted for her!
