Cmas Eve Tip for Driver

Our plans have us arriving late Christmas Eve, and we've arranged transportation with Mears. This has the driver getting home about midnight on Christmas Eve, in order to give us a ride. I believe I tip well, usually, but I'm not quite sure what normal tipping would be in this unique situation, let alone what a "good" tip would be. Anybody got thoughts to share?

I would add a little bit(maybe 5-10 dollars extra) to what you would regularly give. I don't know about Mears, but a few companies that I've worked for considered Christmas Eve a holiday with holiday pay(usually triple rate ie... 8/hr would go up to 24/hr).

As much as I love Christmas, not everyone celebrates it. If you normally tip well, I think the usual tip will be fine.

I have never worked anywhere that had Christmas Eve as a holiday or offered any extra pay for working that day.
