CM told me NEW CBR pool to be sand bottom!

He told me yesterday while I was making "future stay" reservations while we were getting ready to leave OKW. He said it will be like the pool at the Beach club, as far as the sand bottom goes. No other information given.

Sounds cool to me.

I would take that with a grain of sand. There are so many technical/maintenance issues with the sand bottom pool at Y&BC that I would be very very surprised if Disney ever went that route with a pool again. What WOULDN'T surprise me would be to see a zero-depth entry added to the Old Port Royale pool.

Never heard of a sand bottom pool. Is it really what it sounds like? Sounds messy! I think zero-depth entry would be a fantastic addition, however.

I'm wary of anything I hear from a random CM -- I was told last year that the pool at Ft Wilderness was being re-done this year and that wasn't true either.

When half of them didn't even know that P&PP tickets had gone on sale, you have to wonder just how well trained and informed they are.

The sand bottom pool at B&Y Club is awesome. The sand is not what you think - it is grainy and doesn't stick to you at all. It is almost like soft micro-pebbles. Very fun.
