I need some ideas, guidance and inspiration for my wedding album, and after seeing some of the layout posted by DISers, I figure it's a really good place to start!

I bought 2 CM Picfolio Milestones to hold most of my wedding pictures, and they don't have many ideas about them on the CM website. Does anybody here have some ideas that could make these albums more personnalised? :goodvibes

I also bought some journaling and photomats to make it a little more "scrapbooky", and at the advice of a very nice DISers, I am using them as "guest mats", and I will include them in the Milestones albums. Do you think I should embellish them now or after people sign?

And the color coordination is also killing me!!!!

Please help me!

I haven't used a CM Picfolio album yet--I've seen one, though, and they look cool! My one piece of advice on your questions would be to embellish the mats that you're going to have the guests sign BEFORE they sign them. That way, you've got the embellishments where you want them, and the guests could sort of use that as a "guide" on where to sign. If you wait until afterwards, you may have someone's loopy handwriting (I have loopy handwriting, too!) all over the places where you would have put a few embellishments.

The big thing is that you are already planning--which is great! It took me 2 or 3 years to get our wedding album done! :sad2: Just relax and enjoy your big day--it'll go by so fast!! :)

That's the nice thing about the CM Milestones...you can customize it to your preference or use the sleeves for embellishments. I would recommend making your signature boxes portrait rather than landscape. Most people seem to take more landscape pictures that portrait so plan on using the portrait sleeves for your embellishments.

CM now has two Milestone album kits too. Those are really cute.

Thanks ladies for your input!
I never would have thought about the portrait thing!
And I will embellish the mats before I have them sign so that I don't cover anybody.

If anybody else have any thoughts or ideas, I'd love to hear them.

I bought a red 11 x 15 picfolio last night from my CM consultant to replace an old album (30 yrs old) that has seen better days. I love it!!! The ease with which you can put it together is wonderful.
Have a great time with your wedding album, as I'm sure you'll enjoy creating it. Great ideas on embellishing them beforehand too. Caroline

I purchased 3 PicFolio albums to put my wedding proofs in but I didn't do anything extra to them. They JUST hold the photos, no embellishments or journaling as I received a full set of my proofs in 4 x 6 and I got to keep them but didn't want to stick them in a box.

I chose not to have my photographer create a photo album for me and instead got my negatives and am making my own album with memorabilia and select photos from the wedding/reception.

I'm sorry I don't have advice for you. I hope you enjoy your wedding! Congratulations!
