Thank you for the above information. Honestly, there are a lot of people on this thread that need to just back off and keep quiet. I had no doubts that the ship was being searched, any security videos looked at, etc. It is NO ONES business except the DCL, the crew and the woman's family. Not anyone here, not the press, no one's. The person posting as to it being a crime scene and how BMA is lacking, please, you added nothing to this thread.
This sentiment has been stated several times, and I must chime in now and disagree. We are travelling on the Wonder in less than 3 months. I feel I have every right to know if a crime has been committed on board. We know nothing, but statistically a woman that age is more likely to be the victim of a crime by a male she knows more than any other explanation. I'm not saying that is what happened. But I'm travelling with my daughter who is about that age and will be roaming the ship with friends without my DH or me. I think we have every right to know about a crime committed against a young woman if that turns out to be the case.
If a young woman disappeared from a hotel we were about to stay at we would want to know what happened then also. If something had happened at the Residence Inn in Cocoa Beach and no one would say what happened, I'm sure some of you would be upset and wondering if you should move your pre-cruise reservations. Just because it's Disney/DCL doesn't let them off the hook. If anything it puts them more on the hook because they sell themselves as the best place for families and charge a premium price for this image.
This is not directed at any one poster. I just wanted to state the other side of the argument.
