Again all our prayers go out to the family......

As to the investigation, the video clip and report clearly states the investigation continues. The parents will baord and meet with investigators and vessel officers and CMs, many of which will be friends. This is the time to give them correct, full and proper information as to the results so far.

We here, spreading rumors, half baked opinions, stories.........and *HO I just got a email from a friend whose sister in law's 2nd husband is on the ship now and they said this and that*.........all of this is a waste of time.

So let the investigators, DCL, BMI, USCG, FBI and others do their job, the truth will come on in a proper time
.

Very well stated. Didn't have a lot of interaction with her, but I remember seeing her with the youth programs. We all want to know whats going on because we are concerned about Ms. Coriam and her family, love DCL, and as humans are naturally curious and try to make things personal to us. I include myself in that, because I keep coming back to the thread to see if anything new has been reported just because I remember her from our cruise on the Wonder.

However, for us to assume that information is purposefully being withheld or skewed is wrong. Let the people do their jobs. Who knows, but just in other investigations, they may already know something but aren't releasing all of the details as of yet.

I really feel sad for the family today. What must it be like for them to watch that ship come in to port and know that their daughter should be on it, but can't be found. Prayers to them all!

I also find myself coming to the thread to find out if there was any additional information. I don't believe anyone is trying to withhold information. It's an investigation and unless we are part of this investigation, we technically don't need to be advised. Additionally, I'm sure DCL or the authorities do not want to relay all details to her parents on a phone call. There may be information that will be relayed to the parents face to face. Similar to a doctor that prefers to speak face to face when uncomfortable or bad news needs to be relayed.

I certainly hope for a miraculous outcome. But I also know that I may never know the full story and that's okay as long as the parents find the information (good, bad or ugly) they need to deal with this situation. My thoughts are with them, their family, their friends and the wonderful Youth Program CM's.

CM's.

This is exactly what I've been thinking, but didn't know how to phrase it like you did. If they did see something on video, that's best told in person, I think. But, the waiting to hear anything, for the parents, has to be excruciating.

If we all here get to hear nothing else that's ok, as long as the parents hear all information they have that's all that matters.

I so agree with this. The parents deserve all the information they can get about their missing daughter. All the rest of us deserve is to know that the Disney ships are safe.

Is anyone else thinking of her parents this very minute, the Wonder should be pulling in right now.:sad1:

My thoughts and prayers go out to the crew of the Wonder and her family as well. May they have the strength, courage and patience to deal with what is the most tragic of times.

They have been in my thoughts from the moment I awoke... My heart aches for the Coriam family.

The ship is pulling in right now. The live news stated that the parents will board to collect her things.

Given the interviews cited with the Corian family in the U.K. press article below, I really feel for them and any of the Disney staff who are assisting them onboard as we speak. The emotions on both sides must be ones of indescribable pain that none of us can really understand.

And I know it wasn't intentional, but "collect her things" has a cold finality about it - which is not what the Corians are seeking.

Why did that article need to list to the cost of the Disney Wonder in that article?

Like everyone else following this terrible event my heart breaks for Becca's family and friends. If i was the parent involved I'm sure I would want every scrap of information, but I'm not sure the lack of information can be blamed on DCL. Perhaps there is no more information that is confirmed. there is conflicting information about "someone" saying she jumped at 3 vs video of her making a call after 5, but perhaps that is due to the way ship time is registered. If it is just speculation she jumped with no video, it is sad that has been put out there prematurely. I agree with those that have said don't bring it up with CMs. Unless you know the CM well, better to just let them focus on carrying on the best they can. Unfortunately, even in a tragedy like this, there is little choice but to have the ship carry on business as usual.
Hopefully today will bring some information for the family. My prayers are with them.

Those were not my words, but it is what was stated on the news.

Are they still planning to embark this afternoon on a new cruise? If so, have any new passengers been allowed onboard yet?

So very sad. Her mother's dejected face is hard to look at and her father just looks lost. I feel so bad for them.

On a regular (non eventful) cruise, the last passengers don't get off the ship until after 11 am. They don't allow the first passengers for the next cruise onto the ship until after noon. It is currently 10 am in California.

We are here now at the Port of Los Angeles and there is no media circus or anything else going on other than what appears to be a normal situation. There were some news cameras at the exit of the port flagging down cars to interview the occupants and some of the idiots were actually stopping to talk to them, blocking the driveway in the process. This is a secure facility and they check your paperwork and ID before letting you in the building. This is one of the busiest ports in the world and they know what they're doing.

I just wish the family well and hope they get the information they need as well as her belongings.
