Our hopes and prayers are with the CM and with the crew. Also we are praying for the family of the CM. We are hoping everything is ok.

This link is from our local news t
Code:
oday. Her parents are here and are interviewed in this link. I thought I would pass this on. I feel so horrible about this!

I really, really hope everyone who read the above post also watched all of the video in the link. Given the way Disney and the Bahama authorities are treating the family of the missing CM (offering very little if any info beyond what has already been made public and mostly via the official statements that increasingly sound like they are being written by lawyers), this thing is now heading for a P.R. mess the likes of which Disney has never dealt with.

And if anyone disagrees, fine, but you probably don't want to tune in to the scene at the pier tomorrow at 7am.

Just watched the link to posted video. So very sad. Her parents have to just be going crazy with worry over the apparent lack of information.

Hopefully, they'll get some more tomorrow. It will be a zoo I'd be going out of my head with worry.

Still praying for Rebecca, her family and colleagues. I can't imagine the pain they're all going through. Seeing Rebecca's photo and now the interview with her parents makes it all seem so much more real.

I just watched the latest news video posted http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/video?id=8036500

It seems that Rebecca was last seen on the cruise ships CCTV at 5:30am making a phone call from a public area (as stated by her father in the above link)

Her shift was to have started at 9am

If she had gone overboard, surely that would also be documented on the on-deck cameras? and if so, they wouldn't have bothered to do a full search of the ship if they knew that is wasn't necessary :confused3

As someone else recently posted, things aren't adding up?

I truly hope she is still on-board and safe and that a re-union with her parents will happen tomorrow.

What info can DCL offer CandyMandy?
A liked and know doubt loved CM is lost.
Is she at lost at sea?
Is she still on the ship? (doubt they wouldn't have contacted CNN, ABC etc already... ')
They still do not know? (likely)

And what P.R disaster?
1000 crew aboard, working anywhere between 3 to 8 months at a time with so many others joining them every port day.
One person goes missing and DCL didn't call the press, instead called to coast guard etc etc as has already been discussed.

What is the time period that the Bahamian Government set to declare a person Lost At Sea?

Read the previous post's about people/crew member's lost at sea.
IT HAPPENS! On land and at sea!
No conspiracy!
No Cover up!

DCL are a honourable company and look ofter the crew.
In fact there is a freephone number available from EVERY phone on the ship for CREW members to call back to shore to report abuse, work issues they have, discuss working arrangements or just get supportive help available 27/7 265 anonymously!

Tomorrow will be a dreadful day for the YA team and all the other CM's onboard.
I would imagine they are dreading it, along with the Media Frenzy you have predicted.

Stop hyping up a sad sad situation for everyone who works for DCL, and Guests preparing to board the Wonder tomorrow.

My thoughts are with Becca's family, friends and DCL cast members. I hope she is found soon and tht her poor parents get answers and closure. I am sure that once the Wonder docks in LA they will be able to bring K9's onboard and will be able to search the entire ship and life boats more thoroughly without passengers everywhere. Hoping for a miracle and happy ending.

I have been following this thread from the beginning and am so sad for the reason this was started.... the loss of a CM from the Disney Wonder :sad1:

There seem to be many comments from posters concerned about themselves and their upcoming cruise. I really don't think this is a safety issue.

This is about a lost, sweet English girl, who obviously loved kids, was a good worker and whose employer happens to be Disney.

My thoughts are with her and her family. I hope that this turns out to be a happy ending, but I have my reservations.

To all CM's who are on the Wonder right now, Please look after yourselves and accept my hopes and prayers that she will be found.

Take care CM's :grouphug:

This was a very nice post. Echoes my thoughts exactly. Thank you. We were on the Wonder last week, and remember this CM. This whole situation is heartbreaking.

Has Disney confirmed that they did or did not see her go overboard by the on board cameras? That would answer so much to this poor family waiting.

Did her father say that she was seen on CCTV at 5:3am in morning? I couldnt clearly catch his accent. This reminds me of the day when me and my wife made a comment on Rebecca's and another male CMs British accent when they were talking to folks next to our dining table.

Yes, it says it right in the post you quoted.

I really hope so. And I also hope the authorities interview people of interest. It bothers me that if this happened anywhere else (like a house), the place would be taped off as a crime scene, but not on the ship.

I wonder if DCL can delay boarding or departure in order to accommodate the investigation.

I didn't hear, the family say information was being withheld, just their hope for more... They did comment, the Mexican Navy was still searching. What do you expect official statements to sound like? I don't know about a public relations nightmare, but probably a media circus. How sad, the press will do NOTHING to help. They will only SENSATIONALIZE the situation.:sad2:

There has been an ongoing investigation since Miss Coriam went missing. The ship has been thoroughly searched and interviews conducted. No one has declared the ship a crime scene.

I have a question about times on the ship for those who know.

In the video linked above, Rebecca's father says she was seen at half past 5 in the morning (5:30am). But which time zone I wonder? Is it Pacific, Eastern or GMT? I ask only because when I was last on a ship (the WBTA) we did a kitchen tour, and noticed that the ship's time as maintained in the kitchen was GMT time, and not the time zone we were currently in (that the public schedule of the ship was operating on.)

It made me wonder if all ships maintain a different clock from the one that the passengers run on, and if so, was the Wonder on Pacific time (meaning 5:30 really meant 5:30) or perhaps Eastern time (where 5:30 would have been 2:30 on the ship), or some other time altogether.

I wonder if DCL can delay boarding or departure in order to accommodate the investigation.

The question isn't whether they can, it's how long they will have to. And if any evidence of a crime is discovered while it is docked, who knows what will happen....

As a mother I can't even think of something like this happening to one of my children. My heart goes out to the family of this young women, and no matter the outcome I hope they find her. Closer good or bad is important. My they find peace and knowledge in the coming days.

I would think when they pull into port this morning, search dogs ought to be brought on the ship. No human can do a search as thoroughly as our furry friends.

Wondering about the cameras. I suspect the passenger areas are well covered by cameras, but maybe not so much in the crew areas?

This is all too sad for words.

Again all our prayers go out to the family......

As to the investigation, the video clip and report clearly states the investigation continues. The parents will baord and meet with investigators and vessel officers and CMs, many of which will be friends. This is the time to give them correct, full and proper information as to the results so far.

We here, spreading rumors, half baked opinions, stories.........and *HO I just got a email from a friend whose sister in law's 2nd husband is on the ship now and they said this and that*.........all of this is a waste of time.

So let the investigators, DCL, BMI, USCG, FBI and others do their job, the truth will come on in a proper time.
