CM is phasing out the 7x7

I just got word that CM will be phasing out the 7x7 and doing 8x8. They are also finally going to being chaging the 12x12 pages to TRUE 12x12 pages. Finally!!!! This is all going to take place in the spring, so if you have any 7x7 books make sure you have enough pages and PP to get you through.

I have several of the 7x7 Disney books that are great for autograph books. Better make sure I have enough pages to go with them.

I know the current 12x12 will be phased out over the next 18 months so hopefully they will have refills for the 7x7 for everyone to stock up on.
I did 2 7x7's and liked it but I'm holding out for the true 12x12. I would be content with an 8x8 too. I think it will be a great size for autographs!

Yes, the transition is supposed to be 18 months, so plenty of time to assess needs and get what you want. The 12true is available now in some coverset colors. The new colors looks great, esp. the "blue" - much brighter.

Side loading is "rumored" to be coming in Sept. (after Showcase).

I have a question about the 12x12.....I have the current 12x12 wanna be albums, and I'm working on pages to put in them. I'm working on just pages without an album, I haven't had time to get an album.

Will my pages fit in the new albums? I'm assuming since it's over a period of time that I should be ok?

Yes, you'll be fine. Better actually, than having coversets now and having to get the slightly deeper pages later. No worries that yours will stick out a little. The new pages might in the old coversets. I haven't seen them yet IRL. Everything technically goes WSL in June, so I'd reassess then and if you need more of the current size pages, I'd order them at that time to be sure you get what you need to complete any album under construction.

Yeah! Thanks for this news. I am new to digital scrapbooking but I've been using CM for 12 years for traditional scrapbooking. I haven't put any of my digital layouts in a scrapbook yet because I was hoping CM would come out with a true 12 x 12 page. I really didn't want to have to trim everything down.

Current pages can be placed in new coversets but not the other way round. For us we get the first new sets next month, and pages/pps until March 2009. Plenty of time for DS(8) to finish his next Disney album
