CM and Genie +

Hi all. My DD is a candy maker at Disneyland and we will be traveling to WDW in Jan 2023. I asked in the Genie + thread and wanted to ask here. I know Genie + is diff in DL, you have to be in the parks to buy and book for all guests.

My question is, while she will have a reservation, she won't get her actual ticket until she signs herself in; I am guessing that hinders us from buying and booking thru Genie + until we arrive at the park? I really wanted to take advatage of starting to book at 7 am.

So just to clarify, she works at Disneyland but she got a reservation to WDW?

If she was able to get a reservation and it’s linked to MDE you should be able to get genie+. I worked at WDW (in the DCP) and when my family visited and I got them in with guest passes they didn’t receive their physical ticket until we got to the park but since I had a reservation for them and the system knew they had valid admission we were able to buy genie+.

I'm a fellow DL CM. Make sure she orders her guest passes several weeks prior to the trip via the Hub. These are RIFD cards that will be the actual tickets and she will need to make reservations for all the passes when she makes her own reservations. {sign ins work differently at WDW than they do at DL} Her main gate pass and the guest passes are what will be scanned at both the entrance and at the Lightning Lanes. She can't assign her guest passes to anyone and she will have to be the one buying Genie+ and making all the Lightning Lanes. WDW doesn't issue the paper tickets like DL does.

I have a pass so she is only signing herself in. If I am reading this correctly, she can get her ticket prior to signing herself in? Or will she be able to buy Genie the morning of, before actually signing herself in, if I link it to my account? Or does she have to link my pass to hers. At DL she was not able to do anything prior to entering the park.

So long as her main gate is in her MDE account, she can buy Genie before 7am and start making Lightning Lanes at 7am.Her main gate IS her ticket. They do not issue paper tickets like DL. Also, make sure she is linked on Friends and Family on your MDE. Then both of you will have access to make Lightning Lanes.
