I thought you could exchange these for eurostar but looking online it just says eurotunnel then goes on about taking your own car, has it changed or can they still be used on eurostar?

You can still use your Tesco vouchers but you need to convert the vouchers to Airmiles and then pay for the eurostar through airmiles. Hope this makes sense. We're off next Weds for 3 nights.

ouch thats expensive way of doing it doesnt work out you save anything, how long has it been like this? i swear when i checked a few weeks ago eurostar was on there

Worked out for standard travel, 2 adults and 1 child it would cost me £121 in vouchers, which I dont have

Or part vouchers part cash would be £37.50 in vouchers + £140 cash = £187.50

Just got a quote on eurostar direct and its £159

for leisure select i wold need £265 in vouchers or I could pay direct to eurostar for £253.50

part airmiles, part cash is £87.50 in vouchers + £290 cash = £377.50

Eurostar hasn't been on Clubcard for about 18 months unfortunately.

At the moment...if you've never changed clubcard points for airmiles you get double the amount of airmiles, so that does make it a bit cheaper, so for about £60 pounds in clubcard vouchers I can get 1 adult and 2 kids on Standard Eurostar....i thnk that's quite cheap :cool1:

Is this offer still on? I wanted to do this and had the email ages ago but now can't see this offer on the site?

i googled it last night as i couldnt sleep and found it had stopped i was getting confuse with eurotunnel lol

I should have about £40 on my clubcard from mailings I didnt receive, thought ooh ill have enough as you can get double but when I checked clubcard balance its only £5 on there! Tesco havent added them on apparently the manager refused to roll them over!

The offer is on until the 21st March.

Please be aware though that you will get your normal miles through first and the 'additional miles' take up to 28 days. Mine certainly took 28 days to come through...

Flying works using airmiles works out much cheaper - for my trip I had to use 6600 airmiles for the train or 750 airmiles to fly.

My normal £2.50=60 Airmiles went onto my account quickly and it took about 3 weeks for the 'double up' Airmiles to go onto the account.

I hadn't got enough to pay for the trip with 100% Airmiles so I used some of my Mum's Clubcard vouchers but they took 4 weeks to convert the 'double up' Airmiles.

We've also used our latest Clubcard vouchers to book Eurotunnel so it's worked out a 'cheap' trip for us (just have to refrain from spending lots there!).

I know the Clubcard-Airmiles exchange rate isn't favourable - our trip would have cost us £656 in 'hard cash' but cost us c. £216 in Clubcard vouchers, but there was nothing else we wanted to particularly spend them on. Just annoyed that when I phoned a couple of weeks before I booked I was told it would be 13100 Airmiles but when I actually booked it was 10352 so I've got 2748 Airmiles sitting in my account and I wasn't able to use them towards the half-board meal plans.

Just wanted to say thanks for reminding me about this, I have finally just applied for my vouchers to be converted. We are 'hoping' to go at October half term the current rate is 2000 per adult and 1300 airmiles per child for Eurostar and because we are new customers we will therefore get our points doubled it has worked out quite well in our favour.

Will wait with baited breath for them to arrive and my double points to be added before we can book, we were told tonight that there's not many seats left so who knows:confused3

Hope we do get the train as all we need to pay for would be accomodation so a cheap trip, hopefully!

:thumbsup2

ive only got £6.50 to double up then £20 coming in may so doubt ill have enoughh for even part airmiles part cash
