Club Villain coming to the new Sunset Showcase at DHS

Can anyone describe exactly where this new "Flex theater' is located?
In between RnRc and ToT. It's closer to RnRc, you have to go under the arch at the roller coaster and then towards the queue line and you can see the large green building. During the day it will be home to club Disney and then Saturday nights it will hold club villain.

So is it a show where you're watching them up on stage or something? Or will there be actual opportunity for interaction/photos with the characters? Maybe it's clear but I'm just not quite getting it!

And $400 for my family is pretty outrageous....

It sounds like it's a bit of both character interaction, dance party, and a show.

My wife and I always play this game "Guess how much it costs?" I read her the description for the event, and she guesses how much they charge.

After reading her the description, she initially guessed high. (This is possibly due to so many times of her guessing and being way lower than what Disney charges.) When I told her the price, she actually though it was "reasonable for Disney". Her reasoning:

1) It includes dinner
2) It includes drinks
3) You are getting a show
4) It is "exclusive" in that it is limited to once a week and limited in number

All that said - even though she thought it was "reasonable for Disney" she said she wouldn't pay it.

My question is how long of an event is it? I called reservations and asked, and they didn't know. It will all depend on how easily accessible the food and drinks are, and the duration of their availability. Thinking if it's like hoop de do, it might be worth it. If they serve slow to restrict food and drink access, not so much.

What would you're hunches tell you on this one? ;)

To be fair to Disney...I never see them actively "restricting" food...but I think they benefit from a bunch of irrational brats rushing/standing in character lines...and therefore they give up the food willingly.

And no...I'm not referring to kids.

Yeah, my hunches are telling me not to be too optimistic.... but I'm hanging on to the shred.....
If we could get unlimited for 2 hrs, It might be an ok deal. probably be closer to 1.

But (and I know I am in the minority here) as a vegetarian who doesn't drink, it's hard to justify the food price especially since I know the vegetarian substitutions are rarely, if ever, anywhere near the quality of the regular items.

My DW is similar to you on this, I hope to hear if/what kind of veggie substitutions exist for her before committing to going (assuming they extend beyond March to our next visit in May).

My guess would also be about 2 hours. You think of something like hoop Dee doo or spirit of alpha isn't THIS expensive, but it's also not as inclusive. They have to give you time to eat, time for the dhow, and also for meet and greet. Anything less than that would feel rushed, and hopefully Disney has learned that the one way to get lots of customers to complain is to rush them through something like this.

By recent Disney standards the pricing on this isn't too bad.

But it's hard to shake off the disappointment of having previously thought this was going to be a new stage show available to all, and instead finding it's another upcharge.

Considering that we can neve make it to the fall parties to meet the villains, and we are paying only $30 less for some dry cupcakes and sugar saturated cocoas for the Osborne Lights Dessert party, I am a bit intrigued.

My main question would be how many tickets are sold each night and just how much character interaction there would be?

We probably won't know until Jan. 16th
Fair enough, thank you!

Not sure how the night in February that we could attend this would match up with the 5:30am start for the Princess half the next morning anyway lol.

We are booked for Feb 6th and pretty excited about it. We have always wanted to make a villains event and it never lined up with our schedule. I don't think $99 a person is too bad for food, alcohol, stage show, and meet and greet. We pay more than that for theater tickets, plus dinner and drinks, plus parking, plus a hotel, ect. I am optimistic given the level of casting they did that the show will be very good.

Club Villain is a new up charge villain mix and mingle dining event that will take place the at the sunset showcase (flex theater). The event will start January 16th.

Disney is not publishing anything about a "Meet & Greet" - they are calling it "Mix and Mingle" - which could, maybe, possibly be something like a meet & greet but I doubt it.

- The show at the castle was followed by a "Mix & Mingle" where they came off the stage and folks lined up in front of the one they wanted to meet. Most times that would be the only one you could meet because they didn't stay long and lines were long.

- The Villain Dance Party they had at Diamond Horseshoe during MNSSHP was a Mix & Mingle where they showed up, they moved around the room dancing, they did not sign books and it was hard to get them to stand still and pose with photo because once you start that the dance party ceases to exist. I would imagine it will be more like this.

- We are going, we are prepared to enjoy the eats/drinks, the show and then move to the dance floor area where we can possibly get up close and snap a quick photo even if it's an action shot.

So when this first showed up on Disney's website, there were March dates available, but when I tried to book, it said 90 days out. So I had a reminder on my calendar to try this coming weekend. Now I read somewhere that the March events were canceled? Does anyone know if this is true? If so, that's really crappy to just have the event for 6 nights...
