I'm already platinum. I like having the extra registration and the earlier access to the merch and bib pickup.

I am not into merch much anymore and don’t get up early enough to take advantage of the early access. Is bib pickup a completely separate area for platinum? Since I am only planning on running the minimum to qualify for C2C, then in my mind I am wasting the other registrations

Yes. Bib pickup is located right above the merch area for platinum. Everything is all ready for you in a bag. Both bibs and shirts all together. It's nice.

Thanks for that info! Having the corral bump is nice, I think. Although the last race weekend, a couple of my friends who were platinum were in the same corral as me, and didn’t feel like they got bumped up.

And there’s usually treats at the platinum pickup, soda and maybe cookies. DL had little cupcakes. And at Springtime Surprise this year, there was a rice crispy treat and a poncho in a reusable holder in the platinum bags. And we had our own character photo op spot (it was Lilo when I was there) It was nice to see them adding a few random perks.

Thus far, platinum gets you in B corral for all the races I've done since upgrading. That could change, though. With the updates to proof of time, there is speculation we default to the first non-POT corral, which could become C.

So, being the nerd that I am, I of course logged into my rD account this morning looking for my renewal. No links posted yet, but it's only 9am eastern. My guess is someone has to manually do something to push it to the site, so I'll be the stalker checking every hour or so today.

Nope. Club rD sent out an email a month or so ago saying they are changing the membership year and announcing renewal and registration dates. Platinum renewals are due to start today.

Platinum renewals are up! I just did mine. A few screenshots with pricing and clarifications of what races and registrations are covered with the new membership year. It's looking like there are no plans to add additional race weekends for Disneyland at least through 2026, or you'd think they would have language indicating "additional WDW or DL race weekends as announced".

With taxes the Platinum renewal is now > $1000. Which means you can't use a single Disney gift card to buy it and the form doesn't allow multiple forms of payment. *sigh*. I discovered this AFTER I had purchased the gift cards of course. I've reached out to runDisney and I'll report back if I hear from them.
