Club Level Room .... was it worth it?

We will be staying at the RPH and I am considering a club level room. Since we are going in 2009, I believe I have to wait for the rates to come out to compare the difference. I know that we would take advantage of the breakfast...but I'm not quite sure about the rest of the ammenities.

I'd love to hear about experiences from those that have used the Club level for RPH in the past....what you liked or didn't like....what the hot appetizers were......etc.

I haven't stayed at RPR club, but have stayed HRH club. For my family, (5 of us) it is definitely worth it! We love to feel spoiled and go all out on vacation. We stay usually a week, that is a lot of breakfasts, water bottles, soda, coffee/tea, snacks, and desserts we save money on. Oh and evening beers!

You have to figure out how many are in the party, and how much you plan to use the club and you'll be able to get an idea of wether or not it is worth it to you. We have times where we were "chill-axing" DH's favorite made up word in our room and it wise nice to walk down the hall and grab a cup of coffee or tea, or an apple, if we wanted. The kids loved going in at night to fix a hot chocolate and grab a dessert before bed. We had the breakfast every morning, made it back for evening appetizers 5 of the 8 nights we were there, and every night for dessert.

My best advice is, figure out the cost for you for breakfast and if you will take advantage of the other offerings and you'll get an idea of wether or not it is worth it.

we were at rpr last august and thought it was well worth the extra money even though there were only two of us. the club staff was extremely friendly and the great thing is it was on the same floor we were on. food was great.

I am interested in this as well. Since there is no Dining Plan at US/IOA, thought that this might bea nice ption for desserts, beer/wine and breakfasts. There areno extra costs involved in the rooms rate, correct?? Is the value of the room worth the amount of food and beverages you consumed?? We are onlypanning a 3 niht stay at the max, maybe only 2 nights... Whats is the price difference between a standard room and Club level anyway? I am new to the US hotels... Thanks in advance!!

I think the club room is worth it. You save on the cabanas, breakfast, lunch, beer, wine, snacks, etc. The money you save on food and drinks (all kind of drinks) really is a good deal. I have a family of 4, so I figure just on breakfast, we saved on cereal and bagels alone about $54.00, that doesn't include the milk I drank with my bagel, or the milk that went with that cereal, the fresh fruit, the hard boiled eggs my hubby ate on toast, etc. etc. This doesn't even cover the snacks at 5pm-7pm. One day they had chicken fajitas, salads, etc. etc. My hubby and I didn't eat anywhere else that whole day because the selection was amazing. Also, the deserts, hubby ate about 6 mini canolis, the kids, well a zillion choc. chip cookies, and we missed the peach cobbler with ice cream day I do it every year, so I must find it worthwhile! Plan to attend again next year.

Are there any snacks available after breakfast before 5-7pm? Also does the beer come in bottles, if so could you store some in your mini bar or is this a no no?

limited snacks are left out in the lounge for the afternoon.

water, soda, chips, pretzels.
that type of snacks that i know of.

I think if you have more than two or three people, it is probably worth it.

if you have the full family with you, 2 adults, 3 kids, the club is affordable for you.

the savings alone of water bottles and sodas could save you lots daily!
if all 5 had a soda and water at breakfast, took 2 bottles each of water with them for the parks, came back late afternoon and did coke and food at 5ish, maybe another bottle of water late evening, that would be 25 bottles each that day. 25 x's $2.50 = $62.50, not counting that last bottle or soda taken back to the room once you leave the lounge....thru the cost of breakfast in and you'll be smiling over your savings..


i have stayed solo on club levels before. it is great for me for breakfast and getting water bottles to take to the park.

it doesn't pay off for me in the long run to stay club by myself.
i ususally end up at city walk and get back to the lounge after it closes in the evening.

Did I see somewhere that you can add the club benefits to any room? If so, about how much is this? Maybe I was just dreaming this We are booked at RPH for 4 nights, but because this was last minute planning we couldn't get a club level room.

Also, I know that they have bottled water, but is the soda in bottles or do you use glasses?

This year will be my first stay at PBH, so I asked about this myself, from the tips I read from other homies here, yes you may be able to add it on at check in. I think if the hotel isn't fully booked and there is room in the club, or it is always available, not sure on that. I read it was $50, $60, and even $100 to add on.

They advised me the upgrade would be $100 per night, there are 2 adults and 1 child so for 3 nights it would be $300 - not sure if thats good value. I am there Aug 15-18

I just came back today from PBH and club level. It cost $75 extra a day.

I didn't think it would be worth it but it was. The money we saved on breakfast alone and wine and beers made it worth it.

At 4:30 to 6:30 they had the evening selections out. I thought that it would be just enough to satisfy us till dinner. It turn out it was dinner. I was to full to go to dinner.

There is a chance you might not like what they were offering each night. But we did. One night they had corn dogs that made the kids happy.

The only way you can upgrade to a club at HRH is to get a room on the club floor. If those rooms are sold out when you get there, you are out of luck. HRH isn't like RPR or PBH, you can't upgrade a standard room on a different floor for and extra $100 per night, you have to book an actual club room.

Sorry if I wasn't clear the $100 per night was to upgrade to a club room if there was availability on check in. Not sure if its worth it, only 2 adults and 1 child, $300 for 3 nights seems a bit steep.

Depending on when you go, there may be a super-saver rate available. DH and I have booked 5 nights RPR Club level in early November for only $52 more per night than a standard room would have cost. We certainly would spend more than that just on breakfast, soda and snacks everyday!

Don't think it would have been worth it for just the two of us at $100+ more, but like others have said, worth $100 for a larger family.

I can see us using the club level for breakfast easily every day....which would save (family of four) a minimum of $25 per day....we aren't big breakfast eaters....just bagels, coffee, etc.......

I can also see us using the free soda/water when we get home at night from our excursions.....would save us approx. $10 per night....so we are up to $35 per day.

I can also see us bringing one water bottle to the parks each day.....again $10 so.....$45.00

We HATE bringing things with us to the parks......so we usually don't carrry much....I know we would not carry more then one water bottle with us each.

I can see all of us taking advantage of the "desserts", but I don't know that would stop us from buying them anyone while we are out.

I know that the appetizers are served from 5-7.....I think we would take advantage of this once or twice......

I'd like to know more about the savings on cabanas......we plan on renting one during our stay.....and any of the other savings that were mentioned.
