Club Level question

We are considering club level for Sept 23 -30 at either the Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club. I understand there are renovations going on at each of these resorts. Which one do you recommend under the circumstances?

My vote is for the YC. Quiet, calm and if you have kids, SAB.

However, BWI CL always seems to get rave reviews. We've only stayed CL at YC and BC.

Thanks for your answers. I have another question. Are all the rooms the same size? We will be two adults and two adult size sons, so extra room would be a bonus.

There aren’t any renovations going on at YC that anyone has reported or been announced. BC Villa rooms have been having a soft goods update. But other than that, there’s no construction at Y & B.

They are all nice. YC and BC are two halves of basically the same hotel. I mean there is a little difference between the decor and the CL food, but they are pretty similar and share a pool/shuttle boat/dining.

1. One way to decide is simply to choose the one with the lowest rates for your dates.

It has been a while since my most recent BWK stay, have not seen new renovations. Things to know: the pool is rather deep, and the hotel is rather sprawling. There is a nice quiet pool, but if your CL room in on the far end of the hotel, it a bit of a walk to the main pool. Many people don't mind though. It is a slightly shorter walk to HS/Epcot. IMO, most quiet pools are a bit boring, but we found the one at BWK very nice with landscaping. Again though, that was some time ago.

2. The current room decor posted on the Disney website for BWK is the old decor, but otherwise if you are torn, you could consider which decor appeals to you. You also might want to consider which non-CL dining options appeal to you- if any. It is always easy to dine at your home resort.

3. One other consideration perhaps is that the BWK ends to be slightly noisier at night if you are a very light sleeper. We never had any problem. YC tends to be slightly less kids than BC.

Of the ones you list, you probably won't be able to readily watch any fireworks from your room or the lounge. (some CL resorts do have views of the fireworks, but not the 3 you list.)

Of the ones you list....It is close. I slightly prefer BC/YC over BWK.

We did our first Club Level stay in November at Yacht Club and we are hooked. Although I don't have anything to compare it to, we loved it at YC. The service was phenomenal, the rooms were very nice and we loved the food in the lounge.

Boardwalk hands down for me! Last time we were there they had Sunday brunch with omelets and they had small plates of the meals from the flying fish. It was so good. We only do club level there because we enjoy that so much. I should probably make the rounds again but when we stay there we really enjoy it.

I feel like Yacht and Beach are good if you have picky eaters because they seemed to always have something like mac and cheese or chicken nuggets when we were there.

The one ongoing regret I have about having bought into DVC is that CL makes you feel ever so pampered.

VGF-original has gorgeous rooms, but I miss those little luxuries like the resort-specific chocolate souvenir we'd get in CL. And the pillow chocolates with turndown.

DVC just can't compare well in "posh" to GF CL RPC (Royal Palm Club, the main building).

The lounge food can be fabulous. We used to eat breakfast there most days when on the dining plan to save credits for Signatures.

Those were the days!

Yes I know the feeling. We sold our DVCs and took a couple years off of Disney. Going back to club level is the only thing making me not regret selling!

BWI gets my vote! I love everything about BWI, it's my favorite resort! We had a nice stay at BC but it's one of my least favorite resorts.

I haven't stayed at Yacht Club yet but I really want to do so soon. We were supposed to stay this past January before our AP's expired but had to cancel.

YC is so similar that I wouldn’t even do it if you like BW more. Personally I would rather put my money at a place I know I love. One time I made the choice to go to the Wilderness Resort and because of the activity level at the boardwalk area resorts I felt so secluded. Will not do that again.
