Club Level not worth it for foreseeable future?

I own some points at AKV and still notice booking the CL is still challenging. If Pangyal can somehow book 3-4 weeks per year, that is impressive, but in my opinion overkill of a good thing. A few days is cool, but 21-28 days would simply dilute this too much for me. But I do love POG juice
Perhaps that booking is a hotel room and not a DVC villa.

No, it’s the DVC side. It’s the only place anyone in my family- including my parents- ever wants to stay, so we do end up there a lot and have the majority of our points at AKV.

You can never overkill on CL!! 😂 CL was the ONLY thing keeping me from wanting to buy DVC! We miss it and have to add in a few days here and there between DVC trips. I wish every DVC offered CL.

I'm being nosy , how many weeks in total do you go each year? I would love to have about a 1500 points (but not the dues bill). I read a story of a couple that spend about three months at year at disney during the winter. Spend one week studio, move to another resort, spent one week 1 bedroom and repeat over and over.

But back to topic, my DD did AKL club for a few days last year and she thought it was wonderful. We were going to going for three night is May, and so looked forward to it but you know the rest of that story.

I think people like us, who never did club, having less tables and less offering probably wouldn't have as much impact as those who remember the better days of club level.

But I don't know if I would enjoy it aside from AKL DVC. The thought of just hopping two or three rooms away to the lounge sound so much better than walking down the hall, waiting for elevator, walking to lounge and reserve to get back to room.

In very simple terms if it 10pt more per night and you can get $15 per point then you need to consume $150 of food and drink per night.
if 4 people per room, breakfast, snacks and 3 drinks would cover it.
not sure how the buffet will change for breakfast though

We passed on it, I had the choice of 2 different 2 night stays and even booked it. I gave it up as the more I thought about it, it was better to just keep the points for now because it's so uncertain.

Same reason I passed on doing a partial stay at BLT Theme Park View. The fireworks might not be back by January.

I figure with another 40 years hopefully easily in front of us we can do it another time with less uncertainty.

Have 10 nights across CCV/BCV/BWV. Hoping to consolidate at BCV or a BW view instead of bouncing between the resorts.

I got to stay two nights in a CL studio at AKVs by having awesome luck and I did think the extra points needed was a fair return for the food we got. But if there is no food, absolutely not! No way!

Due to covid and closing on a resale with double points, we have a week next summer in a 2br. If the food options aren’t available, we are absolutely switching. This is a splurge to stay with my wife and kids plus my parents, but I won’t waste the points for a regular 2BR experience especially without a savannah view guaranteed

Only ral benefits are the food and drinks. All other savanna views are better. Pool view is way up to you stay for the food and drinks and if you need concierge to get some hrd to need thing. If it i just a room at this point it is not worth the extra points it is then just a room. However the elevator it closer as it is only the hallways up from the lobby.

So much THIS. For years I had fought off DVC because I LOVE CL. We purchased 2 contracts at AKL (same UY) just to be able to have the “chance” to stay CL. I have said so many times that the other DVC resorts have missed the boat by not offering CL.
