Club Level not worth it for foreseeable future?

Just wondering peoples thoughts who have stayed AKV CL?

Is it worth it to take on a fairly point hungry night stay when the offering might not be fully up to par well in to 2021? Things like food and drinks may be limited or not even offered?

I had thought about possibly getting 2 nights for a stay in early 2021 but hesitate as it would be wasteful to essentially just get a room (and one likely without a savanah view on top of it).

We stay AKL CL for about three or four weeks a year in total and I would say without hesitation that it would not be worth it if the food and drinks were not included. It makes the whole stay seem all-inclusive, and the experience is so elevated compared to a normal DVC stay. We still have a couple of CL reservations on the books, but have already cancelled two weeks’ worth for this summer and intend to keep doing so unless the program is back up and running at its full offerings. If it would be your first time trying it, I would definitely suggest waiting until it’s back in action.

That being said, with it being such a difficult booking, maybe you can lock in your nights and then switch once more news comes in about Jambo and CL?

If we thought it was worth it, what do you think my chances are of booking a CL Studio at 7 months out, for next June 2021?
It is not my home resort. The CL rooms are not all savanna view? Are they close to the center /elevators.? Thanks if you have time to reply. I'll go investigate other threads as well. I am focusing on planning since my June trip this year was cancelled like most everyone's!

I am wondering the same thing!

At 7 months it is virtually impossible. Even at 11 months it is extremely hard especially for studios.

I have a 1 bedroom CL in June21 waiting to see if the full service will be available (first time).. is there any recommendation in terms of room location/requests?.. have you used the paid fastpass? Is it worth the safari at extracost?

We think is totally worth it for us ,but only when staying in a studio. Our DS and DD love it also.DS is over 21 and loves having a mimosa with breakfast and a cold beer ready for him when back from the parks. Our DD loves her cold ice coffees. We have 3 nights booked for March 2021, but since the difference in points is not much from another studio category, we would just keep it even if not offered or with limited offerings, unless we change our minds and want to stay in another resort.

You can't request location from what I read simply because there are so few rooms.

Room location: as PP said, you cannot request a location. There are only five 1-bedroom villas. You get what you get.

Fastpass: who knows what they will do when they bring it back. It may not be the same.

The safari: Are you referring to the Wanyama Safari? The Night Safari? There used to be a Sunrise Safari but they did away with that years ago. (I assume you did not mean "savanna" instead of Safari. If you book club level, you cannot pay extra to get savanna view.)

Well we're opposite on the 'worth it' spectrum. One of the reasons we bought our AKL contract was CL. I just moved our September CL studio stay out to May with hopes that the lounge will be back up with some semblance of normal.

I think it was the Sunrise Safari that I read about in some blog..

There are five two bedroom lockoffs on the CL of AKV-JH. Three two bedroom lockoffs face the savanna (but the view is kind of blocked by the roof overhang) and two face the pool area with a lot of roof between them and the pool. You don't book these villas for the view. You book them for the lounge. The sixth floor is only around the lobby without any corridors branching off.

Normally, the Jambo House Club Level is well worth the extra points if you spend the day at the resort. If you are one of those who spend 14 hours of the day at the parks, then it's not worth it.

It really depends on how often you get back to enjoy what is offered throughout the day.

Under the current circumstances, we cancelled our September stay at Club Level. Just seems like there would be too many limitations to make it worth it for now.

We had the opportunity to book CL recently, and I decided it wouldn’t be worth it because of the buffet food. However, I noted for the same length of stay a 1 bedroom at GFV would have cost more than the 1 bedroom CL stay. That put things in perspective for me, I rather stay CL than at the Grand, so once things settle down, I will be booking CL again.

We have had quite a few happy CL stays in the past. This was before walking has become so rampant.

well, if you are able to book this 3-4 weeks per year, then it is NOT a difficult booking for you

OP would be booking at seven months instead of eleven :).

I own some points at AKV and still notice booking the CL is still challenging. If Pangyal can somehow book 3-4 weeks per year, that is impressive, but in my opinion overkill of a good thing. A few days is cool, but 21-28 days would simply dilute this too much for me. But I do love POG juice
