Just wondering if the Club Level at the Dolphin is worth the $$$ . Have heard conflicting opinions on this (here and else where) and just wanted some first hand opinions. We have never stayed at the Dolphin before. We are a family of 4 with two girls (5 and 9) who don't eat a lot but I am thinking of surprising them and my wife with the Club Level.

And if you think it is worth it, anyone have a room recommendation for an especially great room (view, location, etc.). Is it better to be in the middle or is the view of Epcot and MGM at night (with the fireworks) worth the hike?

Any and all help GREATLY appreciated!

THANKS!

We are trying club level at Swan for New Year's trip because we got a great rate with teacher's discount. Lounge looks nice and have also heard mixed reviews. We are looking forward to the location for New year's and MGM, Epcot. We are dvc members and have always stayed at DVC since joining in 1994, but couldn't resist this deal.

We stayed at the Swan Club level this past weekend. It was only $20/night more than the standard room and we thought that it was worth the difference. We ate breakfast in the lounge each morning, but only made it to the lounge once in the evening. The breakfast was worth the extra $20 for the two of us. I would say it is definitely worth it for 3 or 4 people.

Keep in mind that club level rooms may have nice views, but they don't have balconies. I wish they would add some balconies to the "club level" rooms.

We've stayed on club level, and we didn't really think it was worth the extra $$, because we only made it back for the evening goodies once. If we would've been there every evening, if would have made a difference. But, I think we paid more than just $20 extra per night. It depends on how much extra you pay, IMHO.

The times that we've gotten decent club floor rates we've asked for our card to be keyed to club level but taken a balcony room. We just like having the balcony better.

We've used the club for breakfast as well as for afternoon snacks and cocktails. Usually we get some fruit, cheese, snacks, etc. and take it back to the room.

I agree that it just depends on the difference between the two rates on whether it is worth it or not. IMHO the views are better with a balcony.

If your thinking regular Disney conceirge is equal to Dolphin Club level, it is not. And although it is less than conceirge at the other hotels, it is not worth it. Breakfast is passable at best. Few choices, and well just blah. Stale cookies mid-day, and really nothing better than wilted veggies and dried out cheese and crackers at night. The services aren't much better either. For 4 days there were crushed cookies in the rug near the elevator (no doubtly left there by a guest) that was not once cleaned up. The second and third days I called the front desk and housekeeping to clean it up. Even when we left the cookie was still there. Room service trays were left in the halls 2 to 3 days. I was really unhappy at this place. Thankfully we were only there because of a meeting my dh's compnat had. We are AP hilders and would normally stay at the Poly, YC, BC or GF.

For our family of 5 it was worth it just in the savings at breakfast. Some of the food offered was, bagels, toast, muffins, pastries, crosiants, fruit, yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, coffe, and water. We would take a few waters for the parks eachday too. Never made it to the afternoon goodies, but that was ok.
