I'm vacation obsessed, and am loking at rates for out RPR stay 8/5/05 - 8/9/05. I know it's still early, but the best rate I've seen in AAA for $210. I really want to stay on club level, but I've heard that they overbook 2 queen rooms (we really need 2 queens and probably won't check in until late afternoon) and it is hard to get a discount for club level. Currently the AAA rate for club is $305. I want to try to convince my husband that it is worth it, but I need help.

What time does the club room open? And are there any aditional perks besides fitness center and food/drinks (maybe free parking perhaps)?

Did anyone get a good club level rate at PRP for this past August, and how did you get it and when did you call?

In mid-July we had a club level room at RPR w/2qn beds. Our AAA rate was $256 (Annual Passholder was $222 for same time but wouldn't count for "qualified" stay) The full "rackrate" for RPR club at that time was listed on the Loew's site for $319. Now it's listed there for 2005 as $339.....a $20 jump in rackrate from last year. We were there in July of 2003 also...and the rates jumped up about $20 from then til last summer too. My boys (15 & 19) loved having food/sodas available 6:30am-10pm. I don't think we will do club level again if the "discounted" price is going to be over $300.....that's pushing it a little too much. I know there are discounts that come out at the end of every year....fan club, ap, etc. You could go ahead and reserve a 2 queen room now and keep your eye on the discounts. You can usually just call down there and apply the discount to your ressie w/o having to cancel out one and reserve another....check on this ahead of time though! As for free parking being included? Nope, and it's $6 per day.....or at least was for this year. Personally, as much as I like the convenience of food, water, and coffee being available, I don't think at $300 it would be worth it.

I agree with Eclpz314. $305 is very expensive for RPR club and probably not worth it. I am spoiled and paid $199 with an APH discount last year and probably wouldnt pay very much more than that.

This past June we stayed club level at the RPR. $209 per night at passholder rate. The lounge was "open" all the time. You could always stop in and get a soda or bottled water. Several times throughout the day they had breakfast or other food offerings. I would stay on club level again for that rate but I wouldnt pay $300 a night.

We loved staying on the club level. The drink convenience was terrific and we really enjoyed a lot of the food. I also believe staying club level entitles you to a discount on cabana rental at the pool. We were only there a couple nights, so could splurge on the room, we got a $235 rate with AAA for club room. They did overbook our queen though, and ended up with a kind and pull out sofa. My tip is to get there early to check in-even if your room is not ready, they will hold the luggage and you can enjoy the pool or parks! Have a great time!

We rented a cabana for $45 w/club level discount. Wow, lkc, you did get a good rate for club! Ours was $256 back in July and I thought that was good!
