Club Level At Hrh

I I'm confused too now. When I booked our room (July 2005) for club level they told me there were some deluxe rooms but they are available on a first come fist serve basis. This was the HRH that told me that, no the central reservations or Loew's site.

I think (not sure) that you can request a deluxe room and they will note it on your ressie. I dont think there is any guarentee, though.

Wow - guess I really opened up a can of worms here!!!

Again, when I made my reservation earlier this week directly with the hotel, I specifically asked about this (e.g., "are there any deluxe rooms on the 7th floor, and if so, can they be reserved, or only noted as a request, or can they only be obtained on a 1st come 1st serve basis at check in?")

And again, the answer directly from the hotel to all these was "no."

IOther Loews resorts will let you purchase club and stay in a room on a different floor. The Hard Rock has a rule against this due to the size of the lounge and the number of rooms on the floor.

FeeFee, the only problem here is the hotel offered me precisely that option back on Monday.

When I kept "pushing" the issue of a deluxe club level room, the hotel stated the only way to do that was to book a deluxe on another floor and separately purchase a club benefit upgrade. I specifically asked "that means our deluxe room would be on another floor, but we'd have access to 7 to go to the lounge?" The answer was "yes."

Bottom line: given what I heard is about the "club deluxe" subject directly from the HRH is different than what several others here have been told or feel is accurate, I'm calling the hotel back right now to go through all this again (now concerned that I possibly got erroneous info).

I'll report back on what I hear.

O.K., just got off the phone with "Christine," a nice young lady who was right at the front desk this morning at the HRH.

The FINAL BOTTOM LINE on deluxe club level:

Yes, there are a "few" deluxe rooms on the 7th floor (I coyly probed for what "few" meant, but got absolutely nowhere).

However, one CANNOT reserve them.

One CAN add a request for one onto their reservation (which I did with Universal reservations immediately after finishing my discussion with Christine), but that guarantees nothing. The few deluxes are first come , first serve based upon what is available at time of check-in. A request may help you if one is open, but again, it guarantees nothing.

Notably, Christine said the Universal reservations people INTENTIONALLY bury the fact there are a handful of deluxe club rooms (and the fact that one can add a request for them). That's to limit check-in static (because the supply is so limited, they don't want to build any "expectations").

ellieb: There are all views from Club Level just like on the other floors however the pool view IMO is better because none of the trees block the view from the 7th floor. You can also see the theme parks from the pool view rooms. The fireworks are to the right of the hotel at night and if you're on the other side you can see them quite well. The view from the pool area is excellent. We have stayed on Club Level 4 times and this past July we stayed in the Graceland Suite. You can also see Wishes in the distance believe it or not from the 7th floor also. The food offerings are OK. Not nearly as impressive as WDW concierge but the morning breakfast is fine. There is no middle of the day offering but sodas and bottled water on always out and available. The bottled water is quite nice. At night there is a offering of a few snacks and beer and wine. Later at night you get cookies, brownies, etc., sometimes popcorn. The rooms on Club Level have the duvet covers which are nicer than the "green" bedspreads in some of the rooms. There are no balconies at HRH not even in the Graceland Suite. I also don't know of any other discounts besides the cabanas and use of the fitness center for free. The cabanas are definitely worth it though. You still have to pay for valet parking even if you stay on Club Level. $11 per day is the charge but you have to pay $6 per day to self park. I always spring for the valet. By the way, if it's raining and you want to go over to the Portofino Bay to eat or anything don't hesitate to ask for a ride from the valet. They'll be happy to take you over. I just make sure I tip the driver and they'll even come back for you when it's time to return.

I posted pictures of my stay in the Graceland Suite a while back. I'm not sure how to post it here but if you do a search on my name YCFAN it's listed as GRACELAND PICS. My trip report about my stay is also under Day 7 thru Day 9 listed as The GOOD, The Bad, and the In-Between. Hope you have a great stay. Let me know if I can help you with any other questions.

Just got home last night.

Club Level:

We had donuts mini muffins and bagels, coffee juice, tea, water in the am (7:30 am - 10 am)

5 - 7, beer and wine, bud, bud light, heinekin (spelling?) One night they had cold salads and meatballs, the next night they had mini hot dogs and pretzels.

8:30 - 10:30 sweets (brownies the night we went) and milk.

There was coffee soda and water all day long.

The last day the concierge girl printed out my boarding passes for our flight!!

We didnt make any dinner ressies or ask for anthing special.

There is a discount on cabana rentals, $50 for a regular cabana and $70 for the themed ones.

Any more questions just ask away.

Oops, forgot to add, I requested a deluxe room on my ressies. When I checked in I asked about it, I was told that there were no upgrades, When we got our room it was a deluxe. What a nice surprise!!! Our view wasnt the best, it was the view over looking the front of the hotel, but it was a nice view of the Portifino.
