Has anyone stayed at the Club Intrawest Tremblat Resort in Mont Tremblat, Quebec? Which resort is it?

Never stayed at the resort but it is in the II resort directory as a 5 star resort.

Have stayed in Mont Tremblant - can't remember the name of the hotel, but the town was fun enough & seemed like an upscale resort all around.

I'm not a skier, but was there for a work function with my DH - got a chance to go dog sledding - a really great experience.

We did have one interesting experience in a bar when a gentleman had a lot of questions for us about why people in the US didn't follow certain Canadian sports, but I would say that that was probably unusual.

Overall, it was a good time, and again, the dog sledding experience was fantastic.

I haven't stayed there but have talked to people who have. It is rated 9.32 on TUG and overall the reviews of both the resort and area are very positve. I plan to go there myself when I get around to it.

Mt Tremblant is a ski area in Quebec, about an hour north of Montreal. I haven't been there personally but one of my friends went there for a week and said it was great-really good skiing and lots of fun. I plan to stay up there a few nights sometime when I don't use up all my points, or maybe just stay on cash.

We stayed at the Club Intrawest last Memorial Day weekend, and yes we used Disney Points. The resort in not directly in the main section of town, it is to the left when you reach the traffic rotary. The ski area is to the right of the rotary.

The resort is very much in the Disney mold. It has large spacious units, well appointed. It is on the golf course and has two sections. The units closer to the main road have their own hot tub and BBQ area. The other units are on the golf course. The layout of the lower buildings seemed cramped to me, with more space around the upper buildings.

They have one really neat feature at CI Mt Tremblant. In the main building there is a small movie theater with 19 seats. They showed a movie every evening at 8 PM. The guests were allowed to pick a show for a 6 PM and 10 PM showing of their own choice. Since the one bedroom unit we were in did not have a DVD player, we took our disks over to the theater and had a private showing at 10 PM.

If you are not in Mt Tremblant during high seasons, Ski and Summer, there is not a lot to do there. Many of the stores were closed for vacation while we were there in what we thought would be a busy week. The mountain is littered with hotels, that are actually condos.. You buy a full condo in one of the hotels and the management company of that hotel rents it out for you all year. Something about Canadian investment rules we were told, prohibit the owners from using them for more than 14 days a year. There are also quarter and eighth shares available. Lots of shopping and eating all along the mountain, and they have a great lift system that runs all year, so you can see the mountain even without any snow.

It takes a full 90 to 120 minutes to drive from Montreal to Mt Tremblant, most of the backup is due to heavy traffic in Montreal. During the summer months, they have weekly music festivals at the mountain and a number of them look really good.

Enjoy the trip and relax; its a very nice resort.
