Dear DISsers,

We are taking our first trip to the Disneyland Resort next June. Is there any Club 33 members out there who would be willing to make a reservation for our family of four?

Thanks,
jmcalister

man if i had a $1 for everytime Ive heard someone request that...Id be able to go for a month and stay on property to top that:lmao: :lmao:

There was another post on this earlier today as well - if you are really interested and don't mind paying largely (with it going to charity), you could try EBay!

Not sure that any are on the boards here, but even if they are around I wouldn't count on them making reservations for someone they don't know online. It's kind of like sticking their necks out when they make reservations for guests, if they don't show up, behavior during the visit (not that anyone here would behave badly) ect... The member that did it for us last week said that he only has done it for 3 people that he does business with. Probably depends on the member, but from what I gathered it seems that a lot members are choosey on who they make reservastions for as guests! :)

Do people out there really know what it costs to be a member????
No one will just hand out reservations to go to anyone that just asks....

I have been fortunate enough to go as my financial firm gives it out as a perk to those that have so much invested in their company. But I went representing that firm and was greeted by name and given a tour. If I did not show up for the dinner. It would reflect on the firm and on my sponsor.. Also I know I would not be given that perk again.. I also had to pay the entire $250+ for the meal...

I read somewhere that if you have to ask how much membership is, you can't afford it. LOL. Like the American Express Black Card. ;) Seriously though, I've researched this because I wanted to get in there for my first trip to DL. I believe it was in the ballpark of $8000 initiation fee. BUT the perks are TREMENDOUS. Here's a link to someone's ordeal of getting accepted and how much he had to pay. http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm011127.htm

Please keep in mind that this article is from 2001. The prices are now at minimun 10K for initial dues and 3+K for yearly dues. The wait list is now 14 years and is closed to new requests because it is so long. Members will not usually let strangers have ressies for many reasons, two are 1) if they no show it costs the member 100.00 and 2) if the party breaks any rules then the member could potentially have his memebership revoked.
