For those of you who have done both, which did you prefer and why? I'm leaning towards brunch/lunch as I would like to try the buffet if there is shrimp and crab legs as I've heard they have. And the dessert buffet of course. But dinner is nice because it's more formal and I can have a cocktail or two. Please tell me what you can so I can make a decision once and for all!!:

I am going for the first time in September and just in case it's my one and only chance I'm going to go whole hog and do dinner. Shrimp and crab legs I can eat all sorts of places but I feel like the experience of dinner in a formal place like Club 33 would be most unique. I'm going more for the experience than for the food, personally. I enjoy good quality cuisine (which we have plenty of in my city) but am definitely not a foodie, per se.

We are doing dinner as I didn't think lunch would be an option at the time. Since then, I've considered having it changed to lunch, but personally, I am not a fan of buffets in general. At a restaurant, I enjoy being served my meal and not eating food other people have picked at throughout the day. Just my two cents. I am looking forward to our dinner immensely.

Joy2theWorld- Your meal is actually served to you, that you pick from the menu. It's just the appetizers and the desert that is buffet style. But they personally bring you the main part of your meal. I really like it this way, I'm not big on the whole courses of salad (can't eat), soup, meal and then desert. This way I can pick the items that I like, and as much as I like! :)

As far as drinks go, you can order anything you want from the bar at lunch. We did a rather late lunch, around 2 pm, and my DH had a few really nice drinks. I personally think lunch is the way to go.

Lunch also gives you more opportunities to get up and wander around a bit. Since your up and down for the buffet. Catch more pictures that way! :) To me it added to the whole experience. I would have stayed at the table most of the time I think if we did dinner.

I understand it is just a portion of the meal that is buffet, but I am still not a fan of buffets in general. I am okay at the ones where they carve the meat and serve it to you because it isn't a whole lot of people touching the same food... Just a personal preferance.
