I am lucky enough to be going to Club 33 this Sunday for lunch. I was forwarded the dress code and had a question on one particular item for disers who have been. It says no flip flops - are nicer sandals allowed if they aren't beachy looking flip flops? I have a pair of Fit Flops that have suede straps and higher soles (wear them for foot support).

Thanks!

If you were wearing a dress or skirt with strappy dress sandals with a small heel, then I would say those were fine, but I would certainly not consider Fit Flops to be appropriate.

ETA: I just went to the FitFlop website and while I'm not sure if your current pair is still available, none of the current models are anything I would feel were appropriate for a very fancy restaurant. Now, I've read on here that some people don't honor the dress code as much as others, but if it were me, I would go out of my way to make sure I didn't do anything to might reflect poorly on the sponsor.

They check real well, one couple was sent away to get proper attire for their kids(they had flip-flops. ) they came back later. Sandles YES, flip-flops no. You can take the chance. Have a great time.

To clarify the "sandals" vs "flip flops", what the receptionist is looking at is if it has a heel strap. I have seen a person with a nice sandal on, did not "look" like a flip flop, but did not have a heel strap, and they were sent to change.

ETA - If you have any questions, contact your sponsor. They will be able to advise you best. In our case, they did tell us specifically sandals need a heel strap.

This helps - I have nice pair of walking sandals with heel straps that I wear with sun dresses when traveling.

Thanks.

And not dress code but if we do not need to complimentary park ticket, do we still need to check in at guest services or can we go straight to the door?

You don't need to check in at Guest Relations, just go straight to the door.

What do people normally wear? Suits, nice dress pant? Dresses?

In my experience (been a few times), lunch is more casual than dinner. During lunch I have seen jeans, shirts with collars, or khakis. Probably because most people are still having fun in the park. They do enforce the no flip flops or sandals without backs, though. And no jean cutoffs or jeans with holes, etc. And no sleeveless anything for men.

Dinner I have seen suits, although that is more uncommon. Usually I see button down shirts with slacks for men and a lot of skirts or dresses on the ladies. However, a nice pair of evening slacks with a blouse is perfect acceptable for women as well. There is really quite the variation depending on personal preference. But a full suit with jacket/blazer wouldn't be out of place.

In my opinion, when you are unsure, it is better to overdress than underdress. You will feel better about it. Have fun! :goodvibes

For lunch, you will see more of dressed up park wear. For example:

For lunch, walking shorts are allowed as are jeans, but jeans cannot have any holes and cannot be faded. All undergarments must be covered (ie no sagging pants and no bra straps showing.) No tanks, etc... The above pics are normal for lunch.

Dinner is a little more formal. Slacks for men with a nice shirt and sportscoat if possible, slacks and blouse or dresses for women. (No capris, even dressy ones.) I can't find our dinner pics. It is very common to see suits at dinner, and there is one gentleman who goes a few times a month and he generally wears a tux.
