Clowning Around on the Boardwalk! A Wigdout Trip report

Anita, I thought about you and some other DISers during my trip to the mall this weekend. On our way to the Lego store and Dylan's Candy Bar, my nephew and I passed the new VB store. I exercised self-control and did not purchase anything there. But I do like the Night and Day pattern.

Roosevelt Field is becoming a VERY dangerous place. Disney Doorways to Dreams, VB, Disney store, and Dylan's Candy Bar all under one roof :cloud9:

My goodness, Roosevelt Field sure has changed since I lived up there. Of course it has been 23 years.

Sounds like a trip to Roosevelt Field is in order when DH & I are in NYC to visit his family this summer! ;) I might actually end up with a VB at some point... all the enablers in this thread are going to cost me a lot of money! :lmao:

Wigd, I just had to brag about my DD. She found out that her class ranking is number 2! :woohoo: I'm so proud of her and the hard work that she's done, of course she's upset that she has to give a speach at graduation. :lmao:

Here is my Pandora bracelet with my Mickey charms. The charms were around $25 each.
A grand villa sounds awesome!I'm surprised you are staying in a studio the other nights.:) If you get it , you'll have to take lots of pics!

The Chef is still making appearances! Remy! We ate at Chef's on our NYears trip and Spring Break (two weeks ago). We loved it! I had the Ham and Cheese the first time and the macaroni and chees the second time! I loved both of them. I got the $20 meal with the French Onion soup and Creme Brulee! YUMMY! I was almost too full to eat my dessert, but I perservered! :rotfl: The soup is very filling. DS got the mac and cheese and didn't like!:confused3 DH and I didn't have a problem with it. On both our visits we had nice waitresses! Sorry, your waiter wasn't so pleasant!

That deserves some bragging. :)

I want Brooklynn to see him one of these days, but we only do one or two new table service restaurants per trip, so it's taking us a while to get around to all of them. I hope he's still there when we get there - possibly next year's spring break trip.

Congrats to your daughter! That's awesome!!!

Memom, We've only eaten there for lunch, the lunch prices aren't too bad.

That's probably what we will do, too. I'm thinking next spring, when it's just me, the girls, and our friend, that will be a good time to give it a try. Then if we like it, we can take the guys back on one of the all-family trips.

Good morning, Miss Anita Wigd, who did not spend any money on purses this weekend!

Good morning, Mr. Shocker, happy husband because Wigd did not spend money on purses.

Anita, Is Dave's site for renting points safe? We may need to either rent (or add on) points before our August 2011 trip. As of right now, we have 12 people. And staying in one villa together is just not going to happen :scared1:

My goodness, Roosevelt Field sure has changed since I lived up there. Of course it has been 23 years.

I  RF. One trip costs me though :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Oh you definitely need to visit. Plus, there are lots of other tempting shops ;)

You are a couple of great photographers! My daughter is soooo looking forward to seeing that fairy garden. It looks just beautiful. 4 days!!!

MeMom's secret place was so magical and special. I was excited to take Baylor there.
I guess it's not to be.
F&G is just ending way too soon in my opinion...
If I'm not exhausted after our errands and visiting my mom today I'll post an update of day 3.

Sad to say but a visit to my mother is quite tiring.

I know I was looking so forward to experiencing the Magic pixiedust: , like you said though I guess it's not meant to be :(

I totally agree F&G should def be longer , with the Florida weather they def could do it longer !

Awe I think visiting with any part of anyone's family can be quite exhausting , so rest up after your visit and I'll be looking forward to that update whenever you get to it :)

If you get a minute go over and checkout my pre-trip report I would love your input , link is in my signature :) Have a great Monday :)

I'm really proud of the hard work she's put in, especially since when she was in kindergarten and first grade she needed special tutoring for reading and math because she couldn't recognize most of her letters and numbers. This year she took AP physics because regular physics was "so easy it's boring".

Great updates and great pics! I can't wait to go!

I can't wait for Chefs now!! The food looked great, the waiter - ehh. I hope Remy is still there in the summer my kids will be surprised - I did not let them know just in case he is a no show! You know how rats can be :lmao:!

Will you be taking orders for D&B on the cruise - I may need one of those too!:rotfl:

I am soo happy I am in double digits YAHOO!

My 9yo dd has the VB bug sooo bad - everytime we see someone with one she freaks out! I hope she can wait till her birthday - I did get her a Maggie - any chance I can borrow it??

So when is your birthday? Mine is July 7th - sounds like we are close!

I did not realize Remy was still making an appearance. I hope it was not just for Spring Break crowds. My DH probably will not get so excited over this :rotfl: but I would love to see him.

addictedtothemouse-You must be so proud of your DD:thumbsup2 I would be bragging also!!! I am lucky my DS's both do really good in school but to be ranked 2nd in the whole class is such an acomplishment!!:)

That sounds like my kind of mall, well the kind that I could get into some serious kind of trouble in anyway.....:rolleyes1
My goodness, Roosevelt Field sure has changed since I lived up there. Of course it has been 23 years.
Sounds like some good changes to me!

Michelle, I think we could have some fun in that mall!:goodvibes
A "Grand" birthday party! What better way to spend your birthday! Sounds like so much fun!!! I hope it all works out!
A birthday in Disney will be fun no matter what, but it could be quite grand indeed!:cutie:

I think that's just super! I'm sorry she's not crazy about addressing her class, I guess that's not so uncommon for most kids her age though...
That's one good thing about our open classroom, the kids get used to getting up in front of 60 kids presenting. So public speaking is just no big deal to them. In fact they love it!

Very cute charms! I need to look into the Pandora bracelet....
We have tried and tried for a 1br but there just isn't any available at BLT over the 4th and we just have our heart set on staying there this 4th of July trip. It's just Marc and I so we can do a studio. I will miss the space though.

This waiter was the first time we encountered someone unfriendly at Chefs. It's always been great before...
All caught up. Great pics and fun times. Good luck on the new contract.
No word today, the way I look at it, no news is good news.... tomorrow is 3 weeks.

Remy is such fun, by next March, Bella will enjoy him too!
