I was just wondering if anyone still wears white clothing when going to Disney in the Fall. I will be going in Nov., and have always gone in the summer, so I didn't know if people still wore white, even though it's after Labor Day, but the weather is still warm.

It's October in New England and I'm still wearing white shoes and capri pants. It's been a very mild start to fall, so I'm still wearing my summer clothes.

I don't think the "no white after labor day" rule is really a rule anymore. I'm pretty sure What Not to Wear would tell you that it's ok.

As an official member of "the fashion police", I don't wear white after Labor Day, I transition to off white. However, I am a freak and I don't think anyone would care WHAT you are wearing at Disney. From some of the outfits I saw during my last trip (in April and officially before Memorial day and I saw plenty of white), I think if all your vital parts are covered, you are ahead of the game.

I live down here in Florida, and I think the basic rule here is to be comfortable!
Its silly to care what color a person's sandals are, ......so please, feel free to wear whatever you want.....as long as you are within the RULES OF THE PARK, of course!

Seriously, what are you envisioning? Do you think the cast members will stop you at the gates and insist you change to winter white?

Wear whatever you want don't be the norm!!! But being a mother of 2 white doesnt stay very white for long at Disney.

I have a hunch that white will be alright, unless you're staying at the GF. Rumor has it that a few CMs are actually undercover inspectors for Country Clubs up North. If they catch you making a faux pas, you'll have to be responsored and pay another initiation fee...

I asked the same thing when I was in Michigan and dating my husband in Florida. I think it may be a Yankee thing. Up north I was raised that you just did not wear white after Labor Day. However, now that I am loving it in the south...anything goes! Just be comfortable for your trip.

I don't see much white in October, November or December in WDW.

It can get chilly in late November and December in WDW.

Geez I haven't heard that one since high school. It's 90 degrees in Florida on Labor Day and for weeks to months afterward. Wear what you want!

OTOH, I would never wear rubber flip flops from the dollar store to go out to dinner, and that doesn't seem to stop anyone else.

Hey folks, Florida is supposed to be a Southern State (although most of us say it no longer is) (you can't even get sweet tea at wdw except at POR). In the South (the ones born and raised here) no one wears white before Easter or after Labor Day. Off white or light beige is okay.

You are on vacation and you can wear what ever you want to. Most of these people probably will never see you again.

I just packed some white capris for my upcoming WDW trip and I could hear my grandmother rolling over in her grave! She lived in Dallas where it would still be 100 degrees the day after Labor Day but would NEVER wear white again until Easter Sunday! Hopefully she will forgive me for the fashion sin I am about to commit!

P.S. I'll bet my grandmother would rather see people wearing white in October than all the butt clevage you see with those low riding pants that are now in style!

I did that at Busch Gardens a month ago. My husband talked me into a water ride. People coming off of the ride did not look bad....however I was a water magnet in my white carpis. I actually had to wring out my pants in the bathroom stall and pull my shirt down as far as I could. Yep, not my proudest moment....

i don't wear white pants, capris ect( we go way past labor day like Jan...) there but more cause disney is clean but not that clean & i would be stained by brfst ,lunch, dinner , every little kids hands , any grease that ever touched any ride and probably would be in a major rainstorm...i do however wear white socks but they are those low cut ones so you can't see them ( Oh mercy me!)

I think the "no white after Labor day" thing has ended for the most part. Pretty much the ONLY time I go by that rule is the girls no longer wear white maryjanes or sandals to CHURCH after Labor day... but they still wear white shoes other places after Labor Day and we certainly wear other white clothing after Labor Day. I'm not exactly sure why I'm still stuck on the color of the shoes going to church.... who knows. LOL

On a side note- we pretty much avoid wearing any clothing (except socks) that is white or mostly white- at WDW. It wouldn't be white for long... LOL so that's why we avoid wearing white there. LOL

I wear white in the fall and winter. Could care less what other people think.
