Sooooooo much faster than I expected! :-)

Unfortunately, not much available for our February trip. o_O

Very surprised to say we were able to get CC 1-bedroom for 2 nights and PVB deluxe studio for 4 nights in mid-February!

Contract was recorded on Wednesday and Points were loaded in today!!!! GL to everyone else!!! I hope they get loaded in before the break. Very excited to book some 1 bedroom value rooms, even thou the contract, sadly says Kidani, That doesn't play into the booking windows for either resort right?

No it doesn’t . You can book any AKV rooms at 11 months.

That what I assumed. It wasn't letting me when I tested real quick. I was assuming it was a bug because my points were loaded an hour ago. 🤣 I'll try again later or call.
Unfortunately this is something new that Disney IT has recently messed up and all Kidani owners are affected. For the time being, you can call member services and ask them to book you Jambo House

Is this normal-I received my closing documents and instructions for the wire transfer yesterday. So I sign and wire $25,000 and then they email me and tell me we can’t close until after December 16!! So why did they feel the need to hold my money for 3 weeks 😡..I feel like something is not quite right

Usually the only reason a contract can't be closed (if money and closing documents have all been received) is because the seller has an existing reservation they need to complete - if that's the case, it should have been noted in the purchase contract.

That said, a common strategy is to wait to wire until the title company confirms they have received the seller's documents and are ready to close. I didn't actually do this with my most recent purchase because I had moved the cash from my MMF to my checking account, which wasn't going to earn any interest, so I just figured, who cares, let's get it over with.

All that said, in your case, it probably doesn't really matter. I can't remember the dates, but for the first few weeks of December, even if you close, Disney will not transfer the contract to you - they shutdown that process for several weeks to focus on getting out annual dues. And, I think most seller's probably take at least a week to get their closing documents executed (mine took 3 weeks on my most recent purchase). So, even if the seller gets the docs signed, and you were to close, Disney won't do anything until the end of that shutdown period. Maybe, on account of this, the title company is just holding off on actually closing any contracts during that time?

I do feel your frustration, though. I actually think the time between ROFR and points loading to your account is the most frustrating part of the resale process.

I literally just closed on a purchase through DVC Resale Market / Magic Vacation Title. When they sent me the documents, they said that they needed all documents finalized before November 25 to submit the materials ahead of the cutoff that's going to happen in December. Like airjay75 said above, Disney does not accept closing documents from December 1 through 15 so that they have 2 weeks to work on preparing 2026 dues.

My guess is that your closing company was hopeful they could gather all of the documents in time, but since they didn't have everything in hand by close-of-business yesterday, you're stuck in a short-term hold for 3 weeks. Sorry that you're going through this!
