Grr! Looking at recent posts for new members, and based on my deed recording date of 8/13, it looks like I can expect the points to post in roughly this range:

• Shortest delay: 22 days → 8/13 + 22 days = 9/4/2025
• Average delay: 24 days → 8/13 + 24 days = 9/6/2025
• Longest delay: 27 days → 8/13 + 27 days = 9/9/2025

The “grr” comes in because I’ll be on vacation 8/27–9/6, and I really would’ve loved not to be obsessively checking emails. But I want those points ASAP so I can book a weekend in May with quickly disappearing availability!

What would you all do—wait to check until I get back on 9/6, or start checking throughout my trip in case they show up early by some miracle?

If the matter causes you stress avoid it on vacation. Que sera sera. But it would be awfully exciting to see some new points available and book another trip while on one. Is it that difficult to check emails?

I am also a 8/13 and I will be in WDW 8/30-8/5 - but my last resale also had points show up while I was away and I could manage it on my phone.

Looking at the trend I expect 9/8 -9/10 will be more likely

I did ask and the broker got rather snotty with me and said I needed to have it written in to the contract before we signed it. Which is fair, the tone was not my favorite but the answer makes sense.

You are the customer, if you wanted to get rude back with them and a tad demanding, go for it! The good Broker are nice and able to just simply send an email to the seller, hey can you bank the 100 pts from 2025 to 2026 per request of your buyer. It’s not that time consuming!

my closing docs show ours was recorded july31, Where can i go to see the deed? I dont think that date is correct. The sellers had trouble with notary a few times, and i think ot may have been sent later to disney? Just wondering how much longer for the emails from disney.

They really tested you on this one with addendum and that seller time frame on getting their notary done!

The addendum didn’t have as much of an impact as it might have (a day or two at most). The sellers taking weeks to return the documents was the biggest delay in the whole process. I was told that the sellers are an older couple who aren’t “tech savvy” and couldn’t do the online notarization. I was also told the the sellers were selling multiple contracts and I think my transaction may have been delayed so that they could finalize several sales at the same time.

I any case, I’m happy that the purchase is complete and I’m looking forward to booking a WDW trip for the family. Thanks again to all the contributors in this forum!
